The sorry state of our media can be measured and NewsBustsers has done just that with a study that shows the networks spent twice as much time gushing over the First Lady's 50th birthday than they did a devastating bipartisan report on Benghazi released last week by the Senate Intelligence Committee.

ABC gave 2 minutes to Benghazi and 10 to the birthday; CBS and NBC both gave less than 15 minutes to Benghazi but nearly a half hour to the First Lady's 50th.
Even before the big day, Newsbusters reports, the networks were already partying, and it was a celebration that lasted through the weekend:

But even without the media, the people that support him don't care. They fully expect him to lie. And they don't care.

Yep. Because they're "winners". The republicans would be acting the same way if the president had a big red R on his sweater.

Bush lied all the time and the republicans didn't care. Having "our guy" in office and having the power to control others is all that matters to the average democrat or republican.

    He was the neocon's liar.

Some of us that were republicans at the time never converted over to the neocon big government all war all the time every where mentality.

I did not. I consider myself a small federal government Conservative. I believe the 10th amendment has been ignored by both parties to the detriment of the country. If there is ever a Constitutional Convention convened I hope the 10th Amendment becomes an Article of the Constitution.

I view the Republican Party in general as the lesser, by a large margin, of two evils. Their biggest problems are: They are the "stupid" party and the "spineless" party. I do believe there are a few Republican politicians who are principled. I can't think of a single democrat politicianI consider principled.

I know you are one of the few republicans that didn't get neoconned OR.

The GOP in my view uses certain issues to cater to "the base" but when it comes to the core policies that increase the size and scope of government and it's interventions into our private and business lives it's in lock step with the democratic party.

Both parties are authoritarian and corporatist at their core.

This is nothing compared to the refusal of Bush and Cheney to testify under oath to the 9/11 Commission. What were they hiding?

That's true up to a certain point OR.

The neocons never really hid their agenda of global military and economic domination. Their PNAC documents and "policy papers" were put out there where anyone could read them.

They were arrogant enough to do this imho because they knew very few people would take the time to read them and those that did and "connected the dots" could be marginalized and demonized easily with the help of the corporate media that was intent on using the "fear factor" of 9/11 to it's maximum to get the US involved in another unconstitutional foreign intervention. Code name "Enduring Freedom". . . gag.

Govt business as usual using a crisis to gain more money more power and more control and set a pre planned agenda into motion. Problem Reaction Solution.

What they did hide and continue to hide is what role they played in allowing or creating the crisis they were openly wishing for to put their agenda into motion.

    OR,
If you do not stop bad mouthing your President, he is not going to give you a $10.10 raise to your minimum wage job at Barnum and Baileys Circus circumcising elephants. As you know, the pay is bad but the tips are big.
