Aaron made this statment in another thread (News)

    but interesting subject.

Will we have the mark of beast physically put on our hand or head?

Or could it be credit cards. (have you notice how many people used a card to buy just a cup of cofee?)
In fact some places do not even accept cash.

Motion made and seconed - open for disccusion

Note the Aramaic version of Rev 1:1:

The Revelation of Yeshua The Messiah, which God gave to him, to show his Servants what had been given to soon occur, and he symbolized it when he sent by his Angel to his Servant Yohannan’.

Aaron's take is as good as any I've read or heard.

I thought it was bar codes. I paid $19.95 for the book on bar codes. Symbolism? Who came up with that idea?

Hassells' History of the Church of God from the Creation to A.D. 1885 Including Especially the History of the Kehukee Primitive Baptist Association declares that the mark of the Beast prevails:

"wherever Missionary Societies, Bible Societies, Tract Societies, Sunday Schools, Dorcas Societies, Mite Societies, Religious Fairs and Festivals, Temperance Societies, Sectarian Schools and Theological Seminaries in America prevail, there the doctrine of Phariseeism (modernly called Arminianism) prevails, there the doctrine of saving the souls of men from sin and from hell by works which men may do for themselves and for each other prevails. There the mark of the Beast and there persecution prevail."

personally, the Beast can have whatever mark he wants put in whichever part of the human anatomy he wants because the Bible already states who will be in so much awe of him and therefore be under his sway and control, and if you're one of God's own, you're not one of those (Revelation 13:8), and if you're one of those whose names were written in God's Book of Life FROM the foundation of the world, take heart, God has put His mark/seal on you which the beast can not IN ANY WAY supersede..

    2 Corinthians 1:22 KJV
Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

    Ephesians 1:13 KJV
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed , ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

    Ephesians 4:30 KJV
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

I find it interesting that many among "Christendom", so called, who claim to know the Scriptures are fascinated with this beast when dispensationalists claim they won't be here during those times.

I don't think fascination is the proper term.

Folks need warning. They're constantly looking for something on the outside, when they may be receiving it unawares.

I remember something that was said in a discussion decades ago, in response to the UPC and SSN+ZIPCODE foolishness, "The mark won't be something that sneaks up on you."

That statement seemed to be incongruous with the scriptural description of Satan as subtle and cunning. Years later I saw that the statement revealed a mindset that was the same as the one it was attempting to answer. Folks are looking for an outward mark.

It really is irrelevant what the "Mark" is because the body of Christ will have been removed (harpazo) from the earth before that.

    The bible answers this here;

    Ezekiel 9

    King James Version (KJV)

9 He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand.

2 And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar.

    3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side;

4 And the Lord said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:

6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.

8 And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord God! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem?

9 Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord seeth not.

10 And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head.

11 And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me.

Aaron is correct! In my humble opinion of course. I am in a humble opinion mode! I came to that conclusion before Aaron!

Sad that people cannot understand that much of Revelation is symbolic. And I am not a full preterist either!
