This goes along with the thread about the location of heaven. In addition to the question about where hell is, it would also be interesting to address what is the wide gap that cannot be crossed between heaven and hell?

I have no idea what that means, except some snip at a football team. That has nothing to do with the subject of this thread, and ask you as a Christian brother to take your antics elsewhere.

Well, that "apology" was certainly short lived.

Incidentally, you may have forgotten this already, but the moderators have already explained to you that you don't have the right to tells others where they can post.

Nothing in my response to you was out of the way. My apology did not mean continue to disrupt threads. What is it you are wanting?

Don't look at me. You're the one who decided to show us all that your apology wasn't sincere by going right back to your old ways at the first opportunity.

Now, do you plan to continue to derail your own thread by insulting me again or are you going to get back to the topic, which is the location of Hell?

    In simple terms

Hell is where God and His Love and Grace do not extend.

It is a physical place from the rather fleeting descriptions in the Bible. Although physical, it is located in such a place - dimension, separate Universe, 'otherwhere' - that is not accessible from Earth in any manner, super technology notwithstanding. I'm not sure about the 'gulf' mentioned in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man. I opine the account is in fact a parable and not intended as a lecture on the mechanism and geography of Hell or Heaven.

Hell is altogether unpleasant and whatever one may think here on Earth and in this life, NO ONE will like being there.

Thank you for the civil answer. I have always wondered about that vast gap between the two. The point you made about the parable seems logical. The idea of hell being an unpleasant place IMO should focus more on the absence of God and love more than the fire and brimstone.

    I'm torn on this.

On the one hand, I wrestle with the idea that an Omnipresent being cannot be someplace. Psalm 139 would seem to indicate that He is there, or at least, the knowledge of God is there. I've heard it said that what makes Hell, Hell is not only the fiery punishment, but the knowing that God is there, but just out of reach.

But on the other hand, of course, why would the wicked unregenerate care about that, when they've spent their whole lives rebelling against God?

One thing is for sure: it's real, it's literal, I deserve it, and the thought of it drives me to want to tell others about the goodness of God and His power to forgive, reconcile, and adopt them.
