When you feel like it is time to just pack up and GO ... I say it is time to just put those cyber bullies on IGNORE!

Since I put several folks on IGNORE, my life on the board has been a pleasant ride!

I didn't get to speak my piece on the SN OP, but let me say this. The ugliness of people did show up in comments, and that is a shame and disgusting!

I am glad that SN is staying ... and had he left; I'd have WEEPED, with him because I know how much he loves this board and many of the people on it. Leaving is always a choice that we have, but........

It is a real shame that Christians act the way they do, in driving others from the board. I think many folks will have some answerin' to do when they get to heaven, and heaven only knows I'm one of them ... Yes! I have been guilty of telling some people they should leave the board, but I certainly have tried to avoid judging their relationship with Jesus, and name calling, while it comes up in the heat of debate, is uncalled for and apologies should always be tendered and ACCEPTED!

Nevertheless, it is a fact, that we are the only institution in society [Christians] who live their lives to kill their wounded!

I say good for SN ... and bah hum bug to those who cast sour apples at him in his attempt to say good bye! :tear:

A person that let's a talk board of any kind get them upset needs to get involved in something outside the internet. The internet is addictive and while it can be a source of relaxation, entertainment, learning tool, it can also rule your life. If people on a talk board new each other personally in real life there would be less arguments. I have decided the less someone knows of my personal life on talk boards the less ammunition they can use against me if it came to an argument. Some people gloat over the fact they can push your buttons so as the commercial say's, don't let them see you sweat.

Proof positive, perhaps..., those with attitude on such a forum are desperately seeking recognition.

The problem is that the person you're referring to is the cyber bully.

I'm not the only one he's unleashed his unprovoked insults, ad homs, and personal attacks on and, to be honest, it's stunning to me that that many people pleaded with him to stay.

If you think that's bad, go to his profile and click on "find all posts by this user" and take a look at some of his posts. You'll see nothing but ad homs and insults.

So, what about the people on the board he doesn't love? What about the folks on the board he lobs unprovoked insults and personal attacks at?

You say that, but then you turn around and defend the behavior of the worst offender.

    Why the hypocrisy?

I see. So then, what happens if, as in my case, he apologizes but then, in the very next post, goes right back to the insults and personal attacks he just claimed to apologize for?

Sorry, but he's not "wounded". He's the guy on the clock tower with the rifle.

Hooray! Let the insults and personal attacks continue!

Here are a few of his greatest hits:

And that's just in the last two days.

Using the ignore button is so silly. The other day a poster said he had, what was it,21 folks on ignore. That is crazy.
And you need to get your eyes checked regarding who are the real cyper-bullies RD2.
You are intentionally ignoring reality. It's like you live in a Bizarro world or something. Just who do you think is the major culprit of doing what you just said? And he has done that scores of times with me alone.
It usually has nothing to do with the heat of debate but utter spiritual immaturity from the deacon.

The purpose of your thread was to stir things up. You are not being truthful. And you know it.

Some people use the ignore feature and some don't. If the moderators would just enforce the rules, rather than giving people in their clique a free pass to say whatever they like, the ignore feature wouldn't be necessary.

For a few people using the ignore feature may be a good idea because some posters do not change their ways. And that is unfortunate.
Everyone participating in this thread has broken the rules. This thread has nothing to do with debate. You all are simply complaining. I call it a "complaint thread." We know what the Lord says about murmuring and complaining. It is wrong.

As a moderator I have two choices (other than letting your posts stand). I can be very active in trying to read all the threads (almost impossible), and give an infraction for every post that is offensive, insulting or inappropriate. Those are the common categories for infractions. If that happens seven times in a short period of time a person can be banned. I believe a zealous moderator could see many banned (perhaps many of you) using this method.

The other method is to edit all offensive posts. As just mentioned, a moderator can't be everywhere all the time. If he edits one post then he must try to be fair and edit all the posts. In the above thread some have quoted from posts that I have given infractions. Perhaps it would be fair to give that person an infraction for posting the garbage that he posted. We don't want to see it all over again. Why bring it up?

This thread will now be closed.
It has no purpose. It is not debate. It is just complaint, and has no aim to edify anyone.
