Signed up for the VuDu on demand streaming movie service and was given a choice of 5 free movies as a bonus for signing up. The list of free movies was not very extensive, perhaps 50, so picking 5 I hadn't yet seen and was mildly interested in seeing wasn't easy.
One of my picks was Paranormal Activity, supposedly a scary movie about demonic haunting. If you've seen this movie do you recommend I watch it? Please don't give away any of the plot. I should mention I do not scare easily.

You will probably not be scared but you might be mad that you wasted your time. But I don't know your tastes. Most of the horror movies I see are ridiculous and I thought this no exception. I have netflix and I plan on getting rid of it after I see the rest of Breaking Bad.

I have seen movies on the service I highly reccomend. Mary and Max is one. And I thought The Avengers was very entertaining. James Bond Skyfall is fantastic.

Anything about demonic stuff is off my list - scares the tar out of me! Generally I go with happy stuff, but...

    AVENGERS! Watch it. Entertaining.

Should've seen the look on the face of my daughter's date when my question was "DC or Marvel?" (he answered right, picked Marvel. HA!)

    LOL.

The only horror movie I've ever seen that I thought was well done was Angel Heart. Mickey Rourke, Robert DeNiro, and Lisa Bonet.

Yeah, I think most horror movies have plot holes the size of the Grand Canyon. Trying to think of the last time I was truly scared by a movie and I keep coming up with Alien with Sigourney Weaver. That was 30 years ago!

I've completely given up on super hero movies, so Avengers is not on my list. I have seen SkyFall and I got the blu-ray disc for Christmas. Everybody raves about Breaking Bad but I can't get bring myself to watch a drama that is sympathetic to a drug dealer. I know, I know, you've got to watch it. BTW, I have a friend that is doing the same thing you are doing with Breaking Bad and Netflix.

I'm gonna be in Gina's boat on this one!!

Except----I liked Ghostbusters mainly because of Bill Murry, Dan Ackroyd & Rick Moralas and the comedy routine they produced

BUT(AND ITS A BIG ONE)----I stay away from such the likes of The Exorcist ---- Poltergist-----type flicks

Take a look at Ann Coulter's take on Breaking Bad. I see his life spinning out of control, and hurting folks he once loved. His world is falling apart, and it looks like he's going to pay a heavy price for his actions.

I too stay away from freaky creepy movies. The annual sermon of fire and brimstone scares the tar out of me thank you very much.

I like light entertainment....to relax, dream and not have to engage the brain.

Most historical based films are so full of errors I want to hang the producer....one of the drawbacks of being a history not. I have not seen "Titanic" or that incredibly stupid move "Australia". Sanitising history is insulting to the memory of the downtrodden and repressed in my opinion.

I adore "The Life of Pi"....I found the book incomprehensible, but the dreamscape aspects of the movie appealed to me very much. Same as LOTR, less so in "The Hobbit".
