We have a few rules we expect everyone to follow:

    • If you rode your snowmobile to church we expect you to take your helmet off.
    • If you just came from the cow barn we'd all appreciate it if you would scrape your boots off before coming in.
    • If you plan on going swimming after church then change for swimming after church.
    • No dresses on the menfolk. Kilt are allowed.
    • Womenfolk should wear a burka or a large canvas tarp because some men are weak and refuse to be responsible for their behavior. :tongue3:

I've been in ones of all varieties, save the one you posted!
Even the ones Padre posted, lol. One where people really did come after working in the barn all morning (9am was pretty much afternoon there) and one where people did ride snow machine in, and one where they really did stand there and tell us women to wear ankle length skirts, and one where shorts and a tank top was pretty normal in the summer.

I gotta quit moving...LOL Okay, no I don't. The same old sunrise gets boring and the stars stay the same wherever you go, so it's always home...

Anyhow, I haven't been in a church that required a uniform. I think that would be interesting. My sister brought up starting a place and I keep turning that idea around and around. Maybe if we can get the uniform idea going, I'll go ahead and say yes on moving out there to get it started. Bwah ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, no dress code, just common sense. The oldest generation wears a suit and tie, like Ward Cleaver. My generation, in our 60s, wear dress pants and polo or dress shirt without a tie generally. Women mostly wear dresses, except at Sunday night service, some wear pants. We ask men to remove their hats, but say hard to do something about it if they do not.

The only situation I have seen out of the way was on Sunday when Brother Tom was doing the special music. I had picked two visitors up in a van that were married. They were probably in their late 20s or early 30s. Now, understand Tom is a former newscaster for NBC news, and he is quite used to audiences. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Mid Continent College in Mayfield, an accredited Bible College. Anyway, he is quite used to the public. So, while he is singing the special music, this couple gets up and starts dancing in the aisles. I was so shocked, for a split second I did not know what to do, but this was the first time I had ever seen a confused and startled look on Tom's face. I got up and asked the couple to sit down and they did. Looking back on it, the look Tom gave outdid the shock of the dance.

The couple did a slow dance. I don't know what I would have done had they started doing the twist.

Well, yes, I do know. SIT DOWN!

It is a Biblical fact that Adam and Eve covered their nakedness after they sinned!

Everyone must wear a kimono, no exceptions. The male kimono is samurai style, like modern aikido. Men are required to check their swords at the door, but women are allowed a knife. Swordfights must occur outdoors before or after the service. If one of the fighters has been baptized, he is only excommunicated if he loses. Well, buried actually.

Uhhhhh, you mean executed and not excommunicated, don't you?

Being a Japanese Baptist, if I pastored that church, the only way I'd kick them out is if they forgot the chicken and rice....I'd imagine they don't make dumplings... :(

Yes, these are the only restrictions we have, you must wear a shirt and shoes (and pants of course).

Serious question. What's your church's stance on members wearing shorts to church?
