To save a division

How to maintain the current force of the Army.

Recent news has informed us that the Army needs to be cut by some 50,000 troops - which would be about 3 division size units - as well as some support units.

I did some quick guestamantion of the cost in pay of units:
(Note: a division is about 10-12 K troops)

Division -20 million dollars / month
Brigade - 5 million dollars / month
Battallion 1.25 million dollars /month
Company .3 million dollars / month

So here is the mission, what would be cut to maintain the Army at its current strength?

Use some specifics - not just "cut food stamps" or cut the pay of Congress. (if congress worked for free - that would only pay for one BN)

I am not looking for exact numbers - mine above are only guessmations - check the net for actual $ amounts of different programs to obtain a reasonable discussion.

Also, I realize that I am only using the Army # - yes all Services will be subject to the cuts - but this is a start.
