Are you planning to go there to help these people personally or are you calling for the US government to do it for you while you sit home and watch videos?

Hey you still here? Guess you must have opted for the use of government force at taxpayer's expense again instead of going there yourself huh?

When ever you're ready you lead the charge CMG we'll all be right behind you!

Oh now you're just upset Washington and the IMF isn't taking over Venezuela's economy and dropping bombs on them yet.

If you leave tonight you could be there helping these people by tomorrow. Oh, that's right you don't want to go there yourself, you want Washington to send money and people there to help.

Weird isn't it? How the so called "conservatives" want to send money and weapons to every "poor soul" in foreign countries to help "liberate" them but they'll put up a huge fuss when a "socialist" liberal suggests having the government coerce money from American citizens under color of law to help poor people right here at home.

I see no difference. Whether it's "conservatives" supporting international socialism, confiscating your wealth and giving it away as foreign aid and weapons to people in foreign nations or liberals supporting domestic socialism, confiscating your wealth to give to another here. It's still socialism and "foreign aid" is still unconstitutional.

Ya see folks TND and CMG really love socialism as long as it comes in the form of money and weapons for every foreign "rebel" John McCain has his picture taken with.

There is nothing in the op about our government doing anything. So now that is debunked we can move on.

Thank you. When you see the cruelty of the American left, you can begin to imagine the cruelty of the left in Venezuela.

Hey what do you know? Two people agreed with me so as if on cue the Rev shows up to put the brakes on the discussion and try to turn the narrative back in favor of tax payer funded government intervention!

    Who'd have thunk it?

Nice little stab at misdirection there Rev but you haven't "debunked" anything. Everyone that has followed the past discussions between CMG and I on "foreign policy" knows that he has always taken the stand "America must do something to help those poor people over there now so YOU (tax payer funded US government) YOU sons and daughters of America go do it!"

He's always been in favor of using tax payer money and government force to "make the world safe for democracy". Not once has he decided to take it upon himself to actually go and help the poor people he thinks needs help with his own time and money at any time during our discussions. Matter of fact he's never even made the suggestion that he take himself seriously and go do what he expects others to do.

It's always "your money and government force should be used" to help the poor people. That's socialism "conservative" style.

Oh Poncho is just so cruel. boo hoo, now you're even upset that my heart isn't bleeding like your's! You sure you aren't one of them liberal democrats? Because you sure enough sound like one in this thread.

You have no problem with using the left's socialism (coercion and use of government force) when it suits your interventionist fancy so don't even start whining about how cruel the left is. You'd take food out of American's mouths to further your own interventionist agenda and justify it by making the very same claim the left always uses to steal money from some to give to others "to help those poor people".

And the worst part is you don't even recognize it as being the same.

Like I said you love socialism when it fits your agenda, but you hate it when it fits "they're" agenda.

Another aspect of today's "conservatism" I just don't understand. Well, I do understand it but I've been using the words hypocrite and hypocrisy so much lately even I'm getting tired of it.

Just thought up a new term to describe the gung ho Baptist Board government intervention group.

Baptist Board National Security Socialists (BBNSS).

I believe this best describes the people here who have consistently been in favor of the government confiscating our wealth and handing it over to "needy rebel groups" in foreign nations via taxation (govt coercion) and giving it away in the form of unconstitutional "foreign aid" in the name of "national security".

Yes, these are the same so called "conservatives" who have consistently trash talked "liberals" and democrats for wanting the government to confiscate our wealth via taxation and give it away to "needy Americans" in the form of welfare right here at home. Which is socialism as well.

So basically the BBNSS believes in socialism and violating the US constitution so long as it serves their agenda. Oh sure they pay lip service to the constitution when they believe a "liberal" or democrat is violating it but so long as violating the constitution would support some favored foreign rebel group they turn a blind eye.

And what exactly is their agenda? I doubt they even know what or who's agenda's they are really serving. They know how to wave a flag and call everyone that disagrees with them "un patriotic" and telling us how "dangerous" it is to "national Security" if we all don't go along with their brand of socialism which if you look really hard at it boils down to corporate welfare for the people at the top of the military industrial complex.

So evidently the BBNSS believes the top dogs in the weapons and warfare industry who make millions every year are more deserving of government handouts than the average American citizen living on Wal Mart wages.

So, who's really the cruel one here, CMG? Me the guy defending the constitution and pointing out your double standards or you the guy who would take money out of the pockets and food out of the mouths of American citizens so a few well connected MIC corporations can get their huge government welfare check every month?

Hey there loyal members of the BBNSS (you know who I'm talking to) how about another nice big slice of double standards?
