By accident, or by the Providence of God, (I prefer the latter), I caught the tail end of EWTN’s live coverage of Our Lady of Fatima Feast Day celebration at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Fatima, Portugal.

I was particularly moved to tears by the procession of Our Lady upon the shoulders of eight worshippers:

According to Roman Catholic truth, the Virgin Mary has the power to appear wherever, whenever and to whom ever she wills.

In the case of Fatima, Portugal she first appeared on May 13, 1917 to three Roman Catholic children.

IMHO, these children appear to be truthful, reliable witnesses and should be trusted.

…….So, in order to give Our Lady the honor, respect and veneration she rightly deserves, the Roman Catholic Magisterium and Curia have decided to grant her a special feast day on May 13 at which time all true believers can officially ‘dulia’ her.

Pope John Paul 2 having an intimate moment with a 2-foot plaster Fatima doll.

But what is truly sad is the fact that when Mary first appeared to the little children, they asked her if a friend of theirs, Amelia, was in Heaven, and Mary replied that she was in Purgatory.

Let's hope Walter and other Catholic sympathizers are praying to get poor little Amelia out of those purging and purifying flames!

How to celebrate Our Lady of Fatima Feast Day

There are six basic steps one must take in order to maximize one’s sacred participation.

    1. Find out what time Holy Mass is, at your local Catholic Church (assuming of course, that May 13th does not fall on a Sunday).

    2. Go to Confession.

    3. Pray the Holy Rosary. A very fitting way to observe this Marian Feast Day, as Mary strongly urged devotion to the 3 children at Fatima.

    4. Adore Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

    5. Consecrate yourself to the Sacred Heart Of Jesus, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Another fitting way to observe this Feast Day, because Mary stressed that God Wished to Establish devotion to her Immaculate Heart.

    6. When you are praying to God, ask Blessed Jacinta and Francesco Marto to pray for your intentions (the same with Sister Lucia Dos Santos, even though she has not been Beatified yet).

You watch EWTN? Thats disturbing in itself.

But now you have me thinking.....could it be that the Catholic church has consciously tried to replace the roll of the Holy Spirit by devising ritual like this around Mary and thus elevating Mary and minimalizing the HS? Of course they (the RCC) will deny it but......

Of course.....our little community had a procession in honour of the Fatima Apparitions. I do not believe the BVM appears ad lib in the way suggested by a spirited protestant person. She cannot do such, she does cooperate with the Will of her Son .....that is a different matter entirely.

The BVM cops some pretty bad stuff on this board, I for one am amazed at the audacity of those who would do so knowing who her Son is.

We have pretty much covered all the sticking points that anti Catholics get all fired up on....I was concerned that Purgatory was going to miss out, but there you go.....I am wrong YET again.

PROTESTANTS don't believe in purgatory....haven't you heard about Martin Luther......so they go straight to hell. Thank God I'm not a protestant. Maybe they should change the name to "PRODE or PROUD estant."

How come Sister Lucia Dos Santos has not been beatified yet?

Does this mean there may be an Inquisition in Purgatory? We must have missed an apparition somewhere.

How vain the religion of Man/Woman!!

Pray for the peace that passes understanding, not found in temples made with hands.

    Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

The Catholics did NOTHING <<<to replace the roll of the Holy Spirit>>> or to <<<minimalize the HS>>> by <<<elevating Mary>>> or by <<<devising ritual around Mary>>> which the charismatics did not do to replace the Holy Spirit by elevating their own ecstatic and psychotic ‘spirit’ and devising demonic ritual around it.

It is wonderous that despite all the anti catholicism one meets, there are 1.2 billion of them and a 2000 year history.....

Such clear and open paganism under the name of Christianity must turn God's stomach. Heaven awaits to rejoice in the Great Whore's destruction (Rev. 191-5)

There are more Muslims than Catholics, and their history began only 300 years after yours. The reason: only one in a dreamworld would believe that the RCC started with the Apostles. It started in the 4th century. Just 300 years later or less Mohammed was born and since that time he and his religion has surpassed that of the apostate RCC.

Do you hold that mary appeared at Fatima, that she intercedes for sinners, that she is a co redeemer along with jesus?

How many 'other' Christians are there?

Then they plus 1.2 billion are 'Catholics'; the differences between them are peripheral and mostly meaningless.

It is where they are all the same that counts!

All the same in IDOLATROUS DOCTRINE!

Hence, I suppose, the "strait is the way" passage. (I don't think your argument is valid...if you are implying that despite all the Biblically based theologies Catholic church remains the largest). If it's just a snappy retort that doesn't really apply then I apologize...I make some of those on occasions as well.

I think one thing must be mentioned about the name of Fatima.

Fatima was the name of the daughter of Muhammad, the so-called prophet of Allah.

She died after the attack by the gang band after the death of Muhammad.

Her husband was the Ali who is admired by Shiite Muslims.

Khadija was the wife of Mohammad but she was a Catholic widow.

It is interesting that RCC spread the vision of Mary on the mount Fatima maybe because they want to please Muslims by the name of Fatima.

These remind us that Roman Catholic and Islam work together because their father is the same as we read John 8:44, and both RCC and Islam belong to the divisions of the same religion, Babylonian Religion ( Rev 17:5)
