Almost none of them are Christian.

Nice dodge. What about the ones who are saved, you know, like the ones on this board ? Should we submit, or be "troublemakers" ?

Are you submitting ? Or being a "troublemaker" ?

How about you, Zaac ? Any input ? Is Crabtownboy encouraging us to sin ?

They are causing trouble in the wrong areas and ignoring the important areas of loving and taking care of their fellow humans. Their efforts are misplaced. Christ did not come to clean up politics, but to clean up people.

You quote says they belong nowhere in society. Completely incompatible. Isn't that what it says ?

So you don't even believe your own O/P.

    I didn't think so.

Are you of this world or of His world?

Off-topic, your O/P doesn't address this, so I'm not biting. You decide what you want.

I ask again, on-topic, should we submit, or be troublemakers ?

Should we be completely incompatible, or wishy-washy ?

You may submit to the world if you want. I will submit to Christ and His teachings. Try reading, a number of time, the Sermon on the Mount.

Sermon on the mount ? Is that where Christ tells us to be troublemakers, completely incompatible with society ?

How about our government, since this is my original challenge, submit, or be incompatible ?

Because it seems you are saying two completely different things.

I ask one more time, if you truly believe your O/P, why do you so berate those who refuse to submit to Team Zero ?

Read it an decide for yourself. Too many people say they submit to Christ but live their life showing they believe that fullness of life, happiness if you will, comes from the world. Their faith then become that of depending on the world, the military, their material wealth. True faith in Christ does not come form those areas.

As Diogenes Allen put it, “Our need for God is sensed in our restlessness, but the goodness of other things keeps us hoping that we shall find fullness of life in the world. [Allen, Love p122.

I'm asking you because you put it up.

    What do you believe ?

Should I submit to Obama, or be a troublemaker ? Why can't you answer ?

I have decided for myself, that I am well within my Christian beliefs in my opposition to this man.

And I also agree with the O/P.

I just don't think you do.

I base that on the things you say to the people who truly believe your O/P.

If you belief in Christ, then do so. Follow him and live by his teachings on how to live with, suffer with, laugh with, and help and care for others.

    1. Go the extra mile
    2. Turn the other cheek.
    3. Help those in need.
    4. Help the sick.
    5. Be merciful.
    6. Welcome the stranger.
    7. Be kind to everyone.

Submit to his will and follow where he leads, even when it brings fear into your life.

These are starters. Read and heed the judgement scene and its teachings in Matthew. Die to self, live in Christ.

If you do these things you will be a troublemaker for Christ. You will be misunderstood. You will be attacked by those who do not understand.

Put Jesus first, others second and self third. But walk on in the knowledge that in Christ there is no fear, no male nor female, no Greek or Jew. All are one big family ... and many will nor understand this at all as they will feel threatened by such an idea.

Off-topic self-pious question-avoidance. Should I submit to presidents, or be completely incompatible ?

    Yep, I started the thread.

I made my choice, to submit to Christ.

Who do you submit your life to?
