Believe it or not, I agree; although I strongly suspect for differing reasons.

There is no constitutional right for terrorists to carry shoe bombs on an airplaine. However when it comes to guns....

And by the way you cannot carry a gun on an airplane either. So yes it is quite the consistent logic.

    Why?

There is no constitutional right to bring a bomb onto an airliner. It is preventable with sensible precautions.

There is a constitutional right to own a gun.

It is much easier to prevent mass murder in an airplane compared to preventing mass murder in a public place.

Was that question rhetorical? Surely you already know why he sees it that way?

And muslims hijack airplanes and kill thousands because their holy book tells them to kill the 'infidels,' and no regulation of that book whatsoever.

    Where's the "slap head" pictures?!?

How many schools have now implemented airport-like security measures as students enter their schools? How many police agencies have adopted new tactics and response procedures?

It was a completely illogical and invalid comparison. One shoe bomb, and we implemented measures to keep shoe bombs from being able to get on the planes.

You want a valid comparison? How come all explosive-capable materials haven't been made illegal or regulated?

Chicago implemented additional gun controls on gun shops last weekend. Last time I checked, criminals weren't obtaining their illegal weapons through legally owned-and-operated businesses.

Why are anti-gun people so illogical?!?

Why no change in the regulation of guns? Why has there been no change in the regulation of materials that can be used to make shoe bombs?

Why can't we realize that people use guns to kill other people; and therefore, it's the people we need to address, not the tools?!?

Come on now! You cannot expect liberals to think it through and come up with legitimate comparisons. It just is not in them to do it.

As soon as you admit that the real problem is the fact that we quit locking up the criminally insane, because it might hurt their feelings, then I will listen to what you have to say. The people are crazy, that's real problem. As was illustrated in the last "big news story," that you guys won't talk about, he used a knife and a car to kill as well. You can put me in a room with every imaginable weapon across from my worst enemy and they will be as safe as a baby in it's mama's arms, because I am not insane.

I don't know that they are insane. In fact I believe they make a sober and same choice to do these things. Sometimes they may have some issues but by and large people who do this are just plain evil.

A good example of twisted logic is thinking that "gun-free" zones are somehow safe from criminals who will disregard the law. Do people really think a criminal is going to burst into an army base/school/etc with a gun and say, "Oops, please disregard this burglary. I didn't realize I wasn't supposed to bring my gun in here."

That's just laughable. Having "gun free" zones is just telling the crooks that law abiding people aren't protected there.

Note that they didn't make shoes illegal, nor did they say who could or couldn't have shoes, or where people could wear shoes. They started assuming everyone flying in an airport was a potential terrorist and completing full security checks to ensure people weren't terrorists, including checking everyone's shoes in case the shoes were modified into bombs.

The equivalent would be to assume everyone with a gun is a potential mass shooter and treat them the same way they are treating potential terrorists in airports. If they're also wearing shoes, they're a double threat.

If they've ever bought an airline ticket, they're a triple threat and you should Baker's Act their sorry behind on the spot until a court order can be obtained for full state custody on The Island. That will keep us safe.
