    It's mostly democrats talking about impeachment;

Republicans ruled it out long ago.

    The lawsuit will stay.

This is SO true. When the leader of the House GOP says flat out that he will not impeach, says twice in 30 seconds that the Republicans (read Tea Partiers) that want to impeach Obama are "wrong", it's not going to happen. It has gone away, except in Democrat fund raising circles.

Who does impeachment of a Lame Duck President benefit more? The Democrats. The accomplishments of a seriously unpopular President cannot be paraded effectively in front of the voters, so they need to go negative to paint themselves the lesser evil. That is why they try to prod it along.

You should know crabby! You are one of the millions of radical leftists who put Obamma in office and then after 4 years did not have enough sense to vote him out!

Obama has been a far better President than his predessor, GW Bush, the worst President in American history.

#1 He has added $7,000,000,000,000 to the national debt!

#2 He has turned Iraq over to ISIS!

#3 He is in the process of turning Afghanistan over to the Taliban.

#4 He aided in the terrorist takeover of Libya and the murder of Ambassador Stephens and three other Americans.

#5 He has cut the average pay of middle income folks every year since he took office, a total of about 6%.

#6 He has destroyed the Healthcare system by forcing through Obammacare with the aid of Pelosi and Reid, a matched threesome.

#7 He is in the process of reducing the military to pre WWII levels.

#8 He has increased spending on food stamps by 100% from $39 billion in 2008 to $82 billion in 2013.

#9 The unemployment rate in all 49 months of Obama’s presidency has been higher than that of any single full month in President Bush’s 8 years in office.

Now some will say those are not achievements but it depends on your viewpoint. Obamma's goal is to destroy the Republic and he has been successful beyond his wildest dreams or that of the democrats who have always apologized for the success of this country. And that reminds me of another success of Obamma:

#10 He went around the world apologizing to any who would listen for America's greatness!

STRONGLY disagree with you on this one, and I am a liberal (actually, I was once described as a far-left liberal).

Bush gave us Iraq, Obama gave us Libya, Syria, and Iraq (Part Deux).
Bush gave us HUGE deficits, Obama gave us larger deficits.
Bush gave us the bailout, Obama gave us a bigger bailout.
Bush's failed economic policies were continued by Obama.

Bush IS the worst President ever, but that will change on January 20, 2017.

    Regards, hope all is well,
    BiR

    Ha - never again!!

Though I will admit I am hard left socially, but conservative fiscally (VERY conservative fiscally with my own finances).

I have written it before, but I am a TRUE liberal - like Thomas Jefferson, not like the hardcore authoritarians who claim to be liberal and corrupt the term.

    Regards,

How does that work at times when those two ideas oppose one another which takes the greater importance for you.

There is no contradiction. I can see why you are confused, but there is no contradiction there at all. You believe that I am hard left. I am very conservative fiscally, and like the other poster, especially with my own finances.

You remember I have posted my personal philosophy on finances. I'll just list the first two points here.

    1. Tithe, gross income.
    2. Save and invest the second gross tithe, more if you can.

I have lived by these two .... and other beliefs .... all my adult life. I never made a big income.

One final point I believe. A person should not save and invest just for self, but also so they will have resources to help others in need that God brings into their [my] life. [That is where you probably consider me leftist, I believe people in need should be helped.]

That very seldom happens, especially in my personal life.
Despite what I would love to do to help others, if I don't have the disposable income, I can't help. Now, if only the government took that viewpoint.....

With respect to political ideology, a possible example is healthcare. It would be great to have a better healthcare system. The best possible way to do this is a single-payer system with price controls and uniformity across the board (i.e. the Veterans Admin. can exert price controls whereas the Medicare system cannot). There should be volume discounting and it should cross the whole spectrum (much like a super-retailer like Wal-Mart does).

Of course, we both know that will never happen. Until making a profit on the health of others and providing a service become mutually exclusive, that will never happen.

    Hope you are well, Revmitchell,
    BiR

A single payer system, Socialized Health care, would give everyone the same type of care the veterans are now getting from the VA. Need I say more?

Don't know whether you are on Medicare or not but I am and can tell you they do exert price controls.

You may be conservative with your finances but you advocate that the Federal Government take my money, and that of others, and give it to those who will not provide for themselves and their family.

I note that many so-called liberals are very conservative with their own finances, one might say they are skin flints or tight wads, Joe Biden and Al Gore are good examples:
I believe Obama gave a substantial amount last year but of course as an ex president he will be fixed for life.
