I saw Left Behind. It stretched the book BIG TIME and was kinda corny and far fetched. However it did hit well on the main theme of the book called the RAPTURE of the church and the TERROR it will bring to the entire earth with all the missing persons, all the deaths and such. TERROR is what will occur on that day known as the secret rapture of the saints.

I could post a number of scriptures defending the pre-tribulational rapture of the saints but I fear some here will spit them in my face. But then again during the opening scene at the airport there was a bold woman that was openly evangelizing and talking about the earthquakes and signs, and yet she was called crazy and a lunatic. Even Irene Steele was called the same by her daughter so those that hold to this Biblical view will be scorned, insulted, and laughed at.

Lord willing this film will open opportunities for evangelism and the lost will open a bible and start reading it. This movie can definitely persuade the lost to ask questions and christians need to be able to give answers (1 Pt 3:15).

Shocking that portraying the events as dispies predict them are corny and far fetched. That says a lot.

I might watch it when it gets to Amazon or Netflix, just out of curiosity.

Every movie is an attempt to swindle money from people, believers and non-believers. I didn't see comments like this in the wake of "Noah' or "God Isn't Dead", or "Heaven is for Real".

I suspect there is some good underlying messages in this movie beneath all the FX and other malarky.

Interesting that Rotten Tomatoes critics give it a 2 out of 100, whereas Viewers gave it a 67 out of 100. Focus on the Family's PluggedIn gave it a 4 out of 5 rating.

It was not the rapture event, but the movie itself was kinda corny and far fetched and I am talking about the plane landing scene.

Unlike some others you are not a poster that harshly attacks and criticizes me personally. But then again I also call them rabbits.

But taken as a collective, I'm sure you're not the only one that thinks the whole think is hokey. It's movies like this that help Christians lose their voice in the world. We can't be taken serious when our own films are ridiculous.

Thread title is misleading. I thought you were doing some handyman work for somebody and were letting us know you had left the job site without packing up your saw. Carry on.

That’s the good thing about online forums. No one can actually spit in your face…no matter how strong the desire. The movies were bad…but they were B movies…maybe C- movies. The acting was awful, but I didn’t see it very different in theme and substance from the book. Anyway…it’s been a long time since I’ve read and watched “Left Behind.” I wasn’t impressed….although I did enjoy the books (at least the first few in the series). That doesn’t say much, however, as I am also a Ted Dekker fan. :tonofbricks:

The movies from 2001-2005 were terrible. C- grade at best.
