We got everything in a tight excel spreadsheet and every penny counts. Last check I paid 8 times my min payment for one credit card. One thing is NO MORE BOOKS. I have too many, and can't read them like I could as a single seminary student as don't have the time. Yes still read but not at the volume that I purchased. Also am not buying as many tracts as I have roughly 5,000 and need to pass them out. Doing these things has saved money drastically. Am also looking for a Saturday job if I can find one one day a week.

God is honored more this way when we manage money

That's awesome!! We're in a tight financial bind right now and I'm going to head over to the hospital to see if I can pick up anything in the 3-11 pm time frame maybe 3 days a week. That would really help out a lot! But I'm proud of myself! I went to Target last night (my nemesis) and I saw some cute long sleeved running shirts that I wanted, I had them in my hand and decided I have enough stuff for my running already. Then I saw a nice bathrobe that was just the right weight because I have either a summer one or one for the tundra but nothing in between - but then decided I would skip it too. I ended up coming home with just the phone screen protectors I needed.

Now today I'm going to go to Goodwill to get rid of some of our clutter and then go to two grocery stores where I can get cheap produce (one store) and top round roast (for roast beef) for $2.99 a lb at the other! We had one the other day and it was delicious so I'm going to grab another one or two for the freezer. That should be enough roast beef for us for at least the rest of the year. :)

It's hard work but it's worth it.

Now sign a contract with yourself and threaten a cattle prod if you feel tempted to buy a book or a tract after this! LOL

We decided that Rat Obama and his cohorts are not going to nickel and dime our savings away, so we just took the trip of a lifetime. We don't live very high on the hog, so we will not suffer as bad as some.

    Good on ya, E-6589

Thank you so much for your encouragement! Its great to have people encourage me and not hear all the criticisms especially from people like that John C and other rabbits that tend to hassle me from time to time.

Could someone explain what the oft invoked "rabbits" alludes to. I don't get it.

It is a response to people who answer calls for help with advice that conflicts with his predetermined decisions.
