These three are putting out a new BBQ sauce line, we hear ...

The first one is hot, the second is hotter, the third will send you home.

    Then there's these guys ...

    Magicians. Make baseballs disappear.

    And him?

He might make a catch in left before it's all over.

I really, really want the Royals to win it all.

The team reminds me of the 1987 Twins. Group of young guys that went through the minors playing together, then had several years of hard knocks in the majors. Add a free agent or two and BOOM! you've got a team in the World Series.

Good thing Glen Perkins closed out the AS Game so the AL would have home field advantage in the WS.

Will Ventura be able to handle the pressure?

Game 1 was ugly. The Royals reverted to the team they were at mid-season, flailing away at bad pitches and not making pitches. Hopefully, they can flush this game away and get back to playing their brand of October baseball.

[Funny, I haven't seen TND in here today...]

Tonight will be big. I just hope this Royals run isn't akin to the one by the Rockies in 2006 where they buzzsawed through the playoffs and get swept by Boston in the World Series. The pitching matchups should even out again for the next few games though.

The Rockies year was 2007. 2006 was the year the Tigers buzzsawed through the playoffs and then lost to the Cardinals 4-1.

I'm wondering if the Ventura kid will be nervous tonight.

Maybe this is how Kansas City's three-headed monster looks to opponents ...

And Lord only knows what a home-run-hitting Omar Infante looks like to the Giants!

Travel day, followed by a whale of a Series on The Bay!

If I was his coach, I'd have benched him for running through his stop sign. Up 8-0, you don't do that. And now we see the effect of the new plate blocking rule. Didn't like that play, at all, and I'm surprised one of the Royals didn't get a fastball in his ear after it.

Agree with everything you said. But it is a pretty shot, no?

    LOL. Yeah, it's a beauty.

The Royals had a historic blowout last night. I hope they saved some.

I have the same trepidation as you do. I think Tim Hudson has seen better days, and he's had a terrible month, but every once in a while he pitches a gem. Jeremy Guthrie is capable. Should be interesting.

    Unfreakin' believable!!

The biggest gambling team in baseball doesn't send Alex Gordon home when he's two thirds of the way to third base before Perez picks the ball up at the wall in left field??? C'mon, Jerschele!!!

Oh, well. Royals had a great year, they were fun to watch, and Kansas City is blessed to have witnessed it. We got 'em next year!

Love ya all, God bless. Have great lives.

Would have been a dead duck. Good call by the third base coach.

It was a great year for the Royals. I really wanted them to win. They will be a force for years.
