It is to be regretted that the rich and powerful too often bend the acts of government to their own selfish purposes.

Obama is poor compared to Romney who said, "I like being able to fire people." It is the rich corporation folk that love to bend the government to their benefit. Many are funding the GOP with huge amounts of money.

You said the rich and the powerful. The office of the President is the most powerful office in the world. And it is not off topic.

But not nearly as rich as Romney or the Koch brothers and not nearly as powerful as the in their worlds. Obama is part of the government. It is he and other presidents these corrupting people want to bend to their own benefit.

    Late here, good night.

You must refer to no one more than an old Nazi sympathizer and a couple of his sons named Kennedy. The old man bought the presidency for his second favorite son (the first one died trying to upstage his younger brother's medal), saying "What's a hundred million dollars if it helps Jack?" Then the old man ordered his son to appoint his younger (still) brother as Attorney General, even though he had never even tried a case before; and his main duty as AG was to pay off the women his brother slept with in the White House.

You and Old Hickory brought up a good point, of which the former was certainly well aware.

No, he's been a great friend to big corporations. GM, GE, Monsanto all love Obama.
