He's just swapping one regulation for another. He suggests trading the requirement to wash hands with a requirement to post a sign on whether they wash hands.

I wonder if he has interest in a sign company?

I would rather have my senator find a better use of his time. Not the best hill to die on.

    From the article:
Tillis does not support a minimum wage increase, or mandatory paid sick leave, but he does support a restaurant employee’s right to not wash his or her hands after using the restroom.

There is no "right" to not wash your hands just as there is no law requiring the washing of hands. This guy is just plain dumb.

If he were to own a restaurant I can envision the signs on the outside of the doors:

No washing of hands required on premises.
    No workers have been vaccinated.
    Conceal and carry encouraged.
Bring your roadkill and we will prepare it for you.

Dept of Health has regulations concerning the washing of hands for EMPLOYEES- carries the same weight as a law.

The Europeans have a better idea ....

They make their employees wash their hands, but allow customers to bring their dogs into the restaurant ... and they give the pet dogs a bowl of water.
