Although I'm not that much into movies, a lot of my friends are, and the talk around the water cooler is who will win what?

For those of you who are into the silver screen, who do you like to win what? Get in your predictions and Monday we'll know who was right.

    Thanks for participating.

I think Jack Lemmon stands a good chance for his role in Mister Roberts.

I honestly had no idea the Oscars are on Monday.

I did get a chuckle about 5 weeks ago, though, when I saw a t.v. commercial about a movie which had just come out.

I have no idea what movie it was, but it apparently had been nominated for Movie of the Year.

In JANUARY? How do they know there won't be a better one come out later this year?

I don't know anything about this sort of stuff. Is this a calendar year or a fiscal year sort of thing?

I haven't seen any of the films on the list of nominees except for How To Train Your Dragon 2 (which was excellent!!).

I really, REALLY, R-E-A-L-L-Y wanted to watch Birdman last night on PPV, but I read the parent guide and there are 100 f-words. *c'est la vie*

I also really wanted to watch The Grand Budapest Hotel when it came out, but I can't remember now why I decided against it.

The only two that I'm interested in watching now it The Theory of Everything and Into The Woods.

Oscar? Is that award narcissists give to other narcissists for being narcissists?

Admittedly, the only one I've seen is American Sniper. But it's hard to imagine that any of the other performances were better than Bradley Cooper's.

The movie was so good that I made an executive decision and suspended our family's ban on "R" rated movies and took my sons back to see it.

Oh, and I did see Guardians of the Galaxy. I think it's nominated for something visual. AWESOME!! I watched at home about 4 times.

Shia LeBouf should get Best Supporting Actor for his role in Fury.

He's really starting to come into his own as an actor. Watched Fury the other night. I don't think I've ever seen a more uncomfortable dining scene then that awkward lunch with the German women after they took the town. I was sitting there squirming. Very good movie.

That was a very intense scene. I also enjoyed watching the 4 tanks "light up that tree line". The firepower was frightful.

I don't think I've ever seen a movie about a tank crew before this one. What an impossible life.

I've been reading about that this afternoon. I don't think awkward defines it enough.

It's a hard movie about hard men. This isn't a mother-goose book. This movie takes a good look at the impossibility of war, and how much you rely on your buddies.
