"A new leak of secret intelligence documents obtained by Al Jazeera shows that the Mossad expressed the belief that Tehran was not pursuing a nuclear weapon just a month after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Islamic Republic was a year away from becoming nuclear-armed."

"The documents, spanning the period of 2006-2014, were written by members of South Africa's State Security Agency (SSA). The documents, according to Al Jazeera, highlight the SSA's dealings with the intelligence services of its allies, including the Mossad and the CIA....."

An Iran that is not a huge threat to Israel simply does not fit Netanyahu's agenda ... so ignore it and on with politics that suits him and his supporters ... not the first prime minister or president do so this type of thing.

...been expecting them to come out. Al Jazeera is just as dependable as some of the right wing spin the okiedokes on board routinely quote.

From the article: The network did not give further details on the document detailing the Mossad's view on Iran's nuclear aspirations.

The official Mossad finding, or the opinions of elements within the Mossad?

So it all comes down to Al Jazeera's word for it.

Seriously, why do I have al Jazeera on my directv? Does anyone really watch it? I would think they could put on another "shopping network" and get better ratings

I presume that this is meant as sarcastic...

Al Jazeera is about as trustworthy as Pravda.

When Bebe was at AIPAC this morning he polled some of the states to see how many were from each state. Generally the answer was applause. When BeBe got to Kentucky, no applause, but I thought I heard a lonely voice cry out: "I'm with you BeBe, they ran me out of Bloody Breathitt, but I'm with you!"

Of course, according to the article, it's hearsay anyway. The info supposedly is coming from South African security agencies.

Mossad has repeatedly said that Iran is building a nuclear bomb. The only differences with Netanyahu are about when it will happen.

It'll happen even faster if Obama has anything to say about it.

In other words, the headlines in the OP is a load of poop. Mossad does not "contradict" Netanyahu at all.

    End of story.

Yeah, just more hearsay from the other side. This is what AJ says SA said about Mossad.

It's reasonable to assume most of this disinformation coming out about Iran/Israel/US is rooted in the upcoming Israeli elections.

The name "Meir Dagan" is mentioned in K's article . . . this guy used to head up Mossad for years, then he was either fired or so disgusted he quit under Bibi a few years ago due to policy differences. Now Dagan is out campaigning against Bibi, and so is Obama. Dagan used to be a formidable figure in Mossad and he was no liberal, a ruthless assassin at the time.

Dagan has also said that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons. He just differs on when he thinks they will have them.
