Thank you. I LOVE crosswords and those are legit words.

Actually, ture is a word in Norwegian that means 'party' or 'party on', but I was thinking I have used it in crossword puzzles. I didn't catch that part about proper nouns, so I apologize.

Remember, different places pronounce words different than other places. Around here a strawberry is a strawbury, Sarah is "Surrie", &c. Not that I pronounce those words in that fashion, but I am sure I pronounce words different than you do, as i speak 'huckabilly' very fluently...

I use the internet to find out if the word is legit...except for that 'ture' word...

A dictionary is a handy device to determine proper proper pronunciation and syllable breaks.

To repeat : For stuper you had stoop er. But the first syllable doe not have the "p" sound. I had stew purr as a better alternative.

For forum you had fore rum. But the "r" sound is only in the first syllable.

You had ban all for banal. But 'ban" bears no relation to the first syllable which atually sounds like buh.

I think I covered that before, but I realize it's hard to keep up with things. After all, I didn't index this thing.
I think for the second syllable yearn is more apt.
I think using cowl for the first syllable would be more suitable.
I think I did this one too.

I Rooster:rue stir in post #27, back on March 15th.

Use the search function before you submit words. You can verify if I did the very same words before --or, in some cases, you might have done the same before.

I did that one on March 12th, post 22.

I told you to use the search function to see if I already beat you to the punch. There's no use in repeating something that was done before.
