This is a fascinating website about Christian history, especially early Christian history and apostolic teaching and practice. It shows what the early churches believed on many doctrines. I would urge everyone to read through it thoroughly. It is eye-opening.

This being said there (emphasis mine),

    ...
This is NOT an alternative history site.

Everything you will read on this site is mainline Christian history, well-researched, and
    in line with current scholarship.

If the scholars don't know about it, it probably isn't true.

This site's just a lot less boring than seminary!

    ....

...I am wary already of this site.

    PS
'Scholarship', <currently> for a long time has been at such low level and so amalgamated with error and heresy.

I still believe this is an excellent church history site.

However, I have done some research on the "church" that this author recommends, a commune or community of faith called Rose Creek Village in Selmer, Tennessee. I believe they are a cult-like community, based on some things I read from people who were members there. And then on the community's website, there were some disturbing things about submission to "godly leaders".
