YHWH does what He wants and is not to be questioned, and free will is a man made myth.

Rom 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
Rom 9:14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
Rom 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
Rom 9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Did you ever read Job?

More to the point, should I sit and ask why my sister was made cerebral Palsy, or my son died in infancy, or why my beloved Uncle just died of Pancreas cancer....BTW coal ash is toxic so dont sit on it! ;)

What you are really saying is your doctrine would not be questioned. No one would argue that God does not discriminate we just differ on how and who. What you have posted does not prove free will is a myth.

We still retain free will in the sense that God permits us to make real choices, but there are some things that we freely cannot/will not choose now to do...

No more "libertine" free will remaining...

With all due respect to the OP, isn't there already an entire section dedicated to the Calvinist-Arminian debate? Why do you feel the need to start multiple discussions related that debate on this other subsection of the Baptistboard?

I have no idea why cals on this board are offended by having to keep those debates to that section but they do try to get around it.

That we are spiritual dead, that those who are of the flesh cannot and will not please God, nor even understand Him and His ways?
