    Gal 5:4

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

If you say that you are Justified by Grace, and yet believe that you were Justified before God when you exercised Faith, or by the act of believing, something done by YOU, then you have fallen from your profession of Justification by Grace ! To you Christ has become of no effect, which simply means, you are not really Trusting in Christ's Death alone as being your Justification before God apart from anything you did, said, or thought !

See Faith in and of itself is a work of the Law, something that ought to have been done, so says Jesus Christ, observe Matt 23:23

23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

So again, if we are trusting in anything required of us to do, such as Faith is, a doing of the Law, and that doing is what you or i base our Justification before God on, then we are fallen from Grace, its just a hypocritical profession with no reality to it !

I agree with all you've said but where does Hebrews 11 fit into the picture? By faith Abel... Then the scenario continues on an on with each one blessed of God. Was it not their faith?... Start a post if you would like to explain it in further study... Brother Glen

Good grief, this again!?! We get it. You think faith is a work, even though Ephesians clearly says it is not. You think it is. You obviously have so deeply studied the scriptures that you can see how Paul did not provide the Ephesians a proper explanation of salvation. Thankfully we have you to clear up the confusion that God's Word gives us. :BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

Ephesians never said Faith is not a work! Jesus made it clear that Faith is a work of the Law that ought to have been done ! Matt 23:23 !
