    Is it a holy place or is it just a building?

    Are there activities we would not do there, that
    we might do elsewhere

    Other thoughts?

    Just a building where holy things happen.

    Among the activities I would not do there: hold a track meet; sponsor a planned parenthood meeting; :laugh:

    We saints are a Holy temple built up as we assemble either in a building, a field, or anywhere that we are gathered...

    19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

    20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

    21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

    22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

    The earthly holy place experienced the abomination of ....desolation in 70 ad..
    it is no longer the holy place but desolate...

    The earthly Holy place has given over to the true tabernacle and heavenly Zion and Jerusalem....with King Jesus on the throne:thumbs:

    You pose the question as if the terms are mutually exclusive.

    It is a place that is set apart for worship of God and Kingdom of God activities (disciple-making and serving the community), so it is holy.

    It is also just a building. We should not get wrapped up in the form it takes or confuse its importance with the purpose for which it exists.
