    Life is not a matter of holding good cards, but of playing a poor hand well.

    That statement would be contrary to the reasoning behind welfare and the plight of minorities in this country.

    Not really. To play a hand well, even a poor hand, the person has to know the rules of the game. Accepting welfare might be a smart play for a person who has a very poor hand.

    Sigh......welfare is defended by you libs in order to level the playing field. By the way I am not against all assistance just life long assistance.

    So how do you see helping people to get off of welfare and being self sufficient?

    I wasn't defending welfare. I was saying if it is one of the rules of the game a person with a poor hand might be smart to play it.

    On your question;
    1. Job training
    2. Education
    3. Nutrition
    4. Enforcing rules that weed out laggards

    Why do you dislike helping others so much? Christ helped people he met who were in need

    You need to actually read my last post so you do not ask questions that make you look foolish. This is twice today.

    It seems he really stuck his foot in his mouth. So naturally he had to make you the bad guy.

    Good call. Nothing else need be said.
