A liberal recently demonized me as being filled with hate because I take a stand against Homosexuality, transgender "christians" and other items on the liberal agenda.

Folks you must be aware that this is what "liberal Christians" do to silence those that they cant defend against, so be on guard when you are out witnessing.

Evan, God takes a stand against h0m0s3xuality. Unregenerate men HATE God's Word. So don't sweat it. Remember, liberals preach tolerance for everyone except Christians, of course.

Amen to that. Well these people claim to be christians, yet have no problem with Homosexuality, and other sexual sins. One of them serves in a church, yet is open to women preachers, and other liberal ideas.

May I ask exactly what you said to him? A lot of times.because we tend to leave out our own sin, it does come across as hate.

We must remember to speak in love and not just try to win an argument.

Was this your reaction to the individual you were witnessing to?

    Good morning, Evan.

I'll try to get this out before my computer dies....we're limping along right now.

We are Christians. We do not "take a stand against Homosexuality," but instead we stand for Christ. Our position will be in opposition to sin because our very nature (our spiritual nature) is in opposition to sin. In other words - we possess Christ-like qualities because it is Christ in us. We are consistently on guard when it comes to the Church, but we do not judge the world (it is already judged). We share Christ and keep the Church pure (or we are supposed to do that anyway). It saddens me when churches "take a stand" against a sin towards a world which can do nothing but sin. When you 've done all that you can do, stand....not against sin but in Christ. It is a different matter within the church than it is when dealing with the lost, so it is difficult to engage with certainty your thread. But you may very well have been in the wrong.....or not.... But showing the error of homosexuality to a homosexual is not the starting blocks towards evangelism (demonstrating our fallenness in a manner where the person can realize his/her sinful nature is a good start. A good example is how Jesus deals with sinfulness. It is a far cry from "confronting sin" as you have described to us on this forum).
