..... ever marry someone who wasn't a Baptist??

(This, of course, assumes that you yourself were a Baptist before you "became interested.") :saint:

Been there, done that. First wife was/still is Charismatic. I was/still (mostly) am Baptist. Talk about oil and water!! Even though I thought we had the issue settled before we got married, we had some epic disagreements (i.e. arguments) about which church to attend. Towards the end, we were doing separate churches.

As long as she is a strong Christian it does not much matter to me if is she is Baptist or not.

While Baptist isn't an end all be all, I think that a person who follows Christ is of the most importance. Nothing like staying single, though.

Laughing at Saggy! Thank goodness that wasn't a choice I had to make since I met Ron at a SBC church. There were still some things we had to work through theologically. While of course marrying a Christian is the most important thing, I think the farther apart the denominations are, the more there is to work through. Some people have a hard time looking at long held beliefs (even those without a strong biblical basis) objectively. And how would you know that until you faced it?
