It has become necessary through the urging of the Holy Spirit that I make this post and ask for forgiveness from any and all who post on this board. While doing so I am full of a mixed bag of emotions. Some of them are fear, fear that I am exposing myself, excitement, excitement that I am obeying the desire and clear command of God for me, embarrassment, embarrassment that I have acting contrary to the will of God and that which best represents Him and that which represents the office and calling He has on my life, sorrow, sorrow that I have affected others in a hurtful way as well as some others I cannot at the moment communicate clearly.

I need your forgiveness for the following reasons:

    1. I have attacked, verbally, other posters.

    2. I have responded to personal attacks in kind.

    3. I have failed to respond to those who felt I posted in an unkind manner toward them because I had no intention of doing so.

    4. I have harbored ill intentions and ill feelings to some because of their positions on secular issues and theological issues.

    5. I refused to consider the feelings of others.

    6. My posts have lacked maturity and grace.

My posts have been contrary to scripture and what I know of God. I am sorry.

    In His Service,

    Mark A. Mitchell

We all have to do this from time to time. While it may not mean much so all people who read this, it heals some relationships including your relationship with God. It's good to confess these things and move on.

I just had to do the same exact thing at my other forum about 2:00 AM this morning after selfishly, pridefully, and bitingly having a verbal blowout with other Christians whom I admire greatly on a topic that is similar to one here.

I, for one, thank you for this post. Maybe it will be contagious.

    Pastor Mark,

You certainly have my forgiveness. Will you forgive me for doing the same things that you've listed?

Matt 18:21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?”

22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.

Fantastic post. For whatever issues we have had I have never doubted your commitment to Christ. This post confirms that for me. Thanks Rev, I too need to reassess my posting habits.

Dear Revmitchell......sir you are a good man, we all fail in what is right at times, and it is a mark of a real man or woman who will acknowledge this and APOLOGiSE. God love you!

You have never attacked me on this board; but my respect for you has increased as it takes a man to apologize. If I have ever offended, please let me know.

May the Lord bless you as you continue in your ministry.

We are all prone to sin Mark...I just dismiss it as your flesh overcoming you....as it does to me.....Frequently.

But we are commanded to love and forgive. Please forgive me in turn for my own sin and improprieties. I count you as a brother.

    God bless you.

This takes a big person to post something like this...truly authentic Christianity. :applause: I pray we all hear and obey the Holy Spirit in regard to our conduct online as well as offline.

Even I noticed you had toned down from the impression I had gotten before (and I haven't been around as much in recent years).
    Great move!
