Democrats seized on Thursday night’s raucous first Republican debate as a helpful turning point in the wider presidential race, claiming a series of attacks on women’s rights and immigration would alienate many moderate voters.

As the conservative establishment reeled from a night of high drama that boosted the profile of several candidates – and attracted record ratings – but also focused attention particularly on Donald Trump, their liberal opponents were in jubilant mood.

“I felt pretty good that we increased the chances that the Democratic nominee whoever it is, will ultimately be elected president of the United States,” Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), told MSNBC on Friday.

“When you expose America to the extremism that is the Republican party today like they did last night, it’s very evident that there will be a dramatic and clear contrast going into the general election and Democrats are going to show off that we care about fighting for the middle class and they care about taking care of the wealthiest 1%.”

Yes, well the democrats are also jubilant when the cities are burning, police are being gunned down in the streets and aborted children are being cut up and sold to the highest bidder.

So take it with a grain of salt.

    1) what extremism is Schultz* talking about?
    the killing of soon-to-be-born children?

    2) Does she not realize that the % of American workers (currently about 40%) who do not pay ANY income tax will continue to increase - and how that will be the decline of the American Economy.

    3) Oh, yea that Liberals are taking care of the 1% - via excessive government regulations, ect.
Schultz has never had a real job. I wonder how her views would change if she became a real business owner. The only non-political job she had was that of an adjunct instructor of political science at a community college.

    * I see no need to use Schultz middle name.

Democrats all walk with goose step precision along the same path of socialism.

The Republicans have diversity and differences that will lead the ignorant to think it is chaotic.

Again, I watched the entire 8:00 debate and part of the earlier one. I didn't see any chaos.

    What exactly was chaotic?

I think there was expectations from the other party that the debaters would all fall to the ground screaming, "We can't beat Hillary! We can't beat Hillary!" Any thing less would be

Democrats should not be jubilant; 24 MILLION Americans tuned in. Think about that. As I said in another thread, we are TIRED of having a spineless wimp in charge of our country. People tuned in to catch a glimpse of our new leader.

It was the most watched debate in history. There was no chaos. Such claims show desperation not confidence.

24 million tuned in and that is very good news for Fox. But after watching the debate did the GOP convince any voters to vote for them or did they convince voters to not vote for them?

And it is not voters, at this point who are the most important to impress. It is the potential big donors who are the most important.

Democrats are abandoning the elderly Democrat candidates and the failed policies of the Democrats. The chaos is in the ranks of the Democrats, as Schumer defected from giving Iran the atomic bomb and the FBI is investigating Hillary's crimes against her own nation.

I can't WAIT until the Kenyan's last day in office. Fox will be celebrating and Chris Matthew will be weeping, wailing and cutting himself with rocks.

Crabby, the Dummycrats had better be scared of the American people, not the Repugnicans.
