Take a look at the picture below. You can see the madness of the crowd reacting to the Trump celebrity personality. These people are absolutely adoring Trump. The woman in the pink holding the baby freaks me out. Obviously being this close to Trump is the highlight of her year, and he's touching her baby! <swoon>. The woman in the front row on the far right, in plaid shirt behind the guy taking a picture, not so thrilled. LOL.

The thing that really bugs me is the sign the woman is holding up. It has kind of a double meaning. If you read just the red part first and then the blue part....Freudian slip?

I think you are misinterpreting the photo. Most Christians I know, personally, have no real like for Trump. However, they are thankful that someone, even someone they don't personally care for, who has the intestinal fortitude to say some things that need to be said. They are fed up with political correctness, seeing their tax dollars wasted on those who refuse to work, appeasement of our enemies, an overemphasis on race, the atmosphere of fear of offending someone, the spectrum of lies coming from Washington from the President to the Speaker of the House, a refusal to enforce immigration laws,....

Over 30,000 Alabamians showed up at the Trump rally. I'm going to go ahead and assume their presence there is an indication of "liking" him. I'm also going to assume that a decent proportion of them were Christians.

    1. My own opinion. I think that the use of Our Lord's name so flippantly violates the Third Commandment. Reminds me of Harod in Acts 12:22.

    2. I am curious. Has this photo been edited? My first overall impression (have not seen it until this post) is that it is almost too perfect. Cannot say yet specifically why, though...

And I saw this picture and can see that no one likes to be with each other.

Photographs are a moment in time and publishers show what their political affiliation is. In your pic, they wanted to show that people are just mad for Trump.

In the Breitbart pic, they want to show that the Obama's are just mad.

They all are trying to prove what they want.

My own opinion. 3/4 of politics is about impressions.

Unfortunately you do not like Trump so you are willing to believe, assume, and assign motives to anyone who supports him. Now you dog people for thread titles but assume what you want about others.

    Just my observation.

Yes, my huge assumption and assignation of motives to people that go to a Trump rally is that they like Trump. How is that erroneous?

    Yes....and?

Are not the Obama's mad in that pic? Aren't the people at the Trump rally going crazy for him?

I have to admit my patience is being tried here. You need to go back and reread your post to SAG. There was more than that said there that you cannot actually back up. I will leave you to it from here.

Yes, I said there was a "decent proportion of Christians there".

Let's suppose there was ONLY ONE Christian there, the woman holding up the sign. How does this make my OP about people fawning over Trump's celebrity status untrue? How does that change the meaning of my statement about her sign?

So there was this dude from up north who didn't have clue about what many in South Alabama, South Mississippi, and the Florida panhandle are thinking and outright dismissed the observations of someone who is there on the scene. I used to have some respect for said poster to be some what enlightened but after his debacle concerning the trophies and now this, my opinion has changed.

I didn't diss your take on Christians you know and them not liking Trump. I simply said I believed there were Christians at the Alabama Trump rally. It's a red state and it's in the Bible Belt.

I don't remember us having any interaction in the trophy thread.

Anyway, I'm sure we'll find common ground on future issues.

Trump does not appeal to the intellectuals of either party. I think that people are having fun--it is so early that it does not mean much.
