Even in the days of trouble and tribulations how many of you still thank God for what He has done for you? Today I start the thanks giving challenge. It's about thanking the Lord for all the things He has done. Take thirty minutes to one hour to just thank the Lord and quote the verses of thanksgiving. Please join me in thanking God and see great changes in you life

Nice thought. I already do that; as I'm sure many of us on this board already do. Maybe not in one 30-minute to 1-hour session; but different times throughout the day.

Like Don said many already do this, but I decided to do things a little more like you laid out, instead of maybe working it into my day.

I make sure to do it specifically before my daily devotions, then before I do Bible study, and usually I will listen to at least one message on the internet before calling it a night.

I attempt to keep those times centered on thanking God, and not include what I call my regular prayer time, although many times they overlap.

Since starting doing things like this, I really feel it has helped me have a better understanding of everything He does for us.

Now if I could figure out a way of keeping myself from getting into trouble on here, I might learn more.

I thank God anytime. Although I don't think thanking God means that there will be great changes in your life, it's more of knowing that God loves you that will change your life.

    I do.

Not to the best of my ability.

Really what choice do we have?

Even in our misery, we have life.

    He is there.

    Thank You Lord.

Amen, what a great idea! We sometimes get too caught up in our busy lives that we forget to give thanks. I also started thanking God for things that I wanted to complain about. For instance, one night my baby wouldn't go to sleep because we live right by a high school and they were having a football game late, and they were very loud cheering and the man over the speaker that narrates the game was very loud. Well I was really tempted to complain. But instead, I started thanking God that these kids had somewhere to be on a Friday night that wasn't getting them into trouble and that they were getting exercise lol. So that's another way we can thank God, is when we feel like complaining. We can turn it around!
