Dunno why, but reading some comments on Facebook triggered this on my mind.

So many refused to vote last POTUS election, because they did not choose to vote for "the lesser of two evils", that it gave the ZERO a 2nd term.
It occured to me that unless Jesus Christ Himself were on the ballot, you are ALWAYS going to have to opt for the lesser evil!!!

Even a write-in is nothing more than the lesser of 3 evils.

So do as your conscience leads, but remember you can choose, BUT, you cannot choose the results of your choice!:(

    1) Write-ins have been know to win - at least in local elections
    2) When there was only one candidate for office, I did some low level campaigning as a write in (too late to be put on the ballot.
    3) I have been know to do a write in - esp when there is only one candidate - so that individual will not get 100% of the vote.

    Yes, every vote countsl

I'm not voting for a person that does not confess Jesus as Lord. Not going to do it again. Not going to vote for someone that is pro abortion Those two criteria eliminates all Democrats running for President. Not going to vote for a RINO either. I guess that leaves me with Cruz or Rubio. If either of those two are not the nominee I won't be voting for President, or I will be writing someone in.

My vote does count, even if as a registered voter I choose to abstain (or I chose to only vote in local elections that I can in good conscience support). But the bottom line is that even if not voting was a muted voice, I would much rather be ignored for obedience than recognized in supporting unrighteousness.

I don't know if I will vote or not. I have not yet considered the options there. But I will not vote against my conscience and I do believe that we are accountable for the things we support.

I don't believe we should try to get Christians or anyone else to ignore their "convictions" about not voting for evil at the expense of just winning an election.

Some are so hard pressed for one party or the other with their candidate of choice to win an election that if Hitler and Pol Pot were opposing candidates, they'd find a way to justify voting for one.

Nobody is getting into office unless GOD places them there, and if my not voting for someone who wreaks of wickedness gets someone into office that folks don't like, take it up with Jesus. He placed them there, not me.Thumbsup

I don't know how many times I was told that by not voting for McCain or Romney that I would be voting for Obama. And my response was always, "nice try. I'm voting for the person I write in. If you've got a problem with Obama being President, take it up with the One Who placed him there."

My litmus test for "evil" as it pertains to Presidential elections is simple if you want to get out the gate with me as a potential candidate I can support.

#1. You've got to love the Jesus of The Bible. Folks adhering to any other books need not apply.

#2. You've got to love others out of the overflow of the Jesus of the Bible. Mean, nasty, selfish people who can't find it in themselves to empathize with the situations of others need not apply.

If you make it past those two, I go to #3.

#3 If you're okay with killing babies inside the womb or killing adults outside the womb, you need not apply.

    HALLELUJAH!!!
Refused to do it the first time.
Pretty much. I also don't vote for people if I find out they are pro-murder by way of capital punishment. I'm extremely conservative and life is life. Don't tell me that you're pro-life unless you're pro-life for everyone.

That eliminates most of the Republicans running too. Ron and Rand Paul made the cut on that one.

Cruz I just got a funny feeling about. Rubio, I said this back when he announced, is in the pocket of a billionaire. Plus I'm not sure if they clear my #2 requirement to get my vote.

[IMG] Now let the church say AMEN!!! it's like I tell folks when I'm preaching. I'm called first and foremost to fill the pulpit and be pleasing to Jesus Christ. If all the rest of you don't like that and I'm good with HIM, I'm okay.:)

    YES! YES! YES!

Oh Lord that more Christians would get THIS and stop acting as though winning an election is more important than bringing glory to Your name!!!

I can see from the replies that I should have omitted the last sentence, but it was only to point out that whether one votes OR not, there are results directly linked to that option; and those results may or may not be a determination of the outcome.

My mission here is to kill this idea that NOT VOTING is a legitimate option just because one is "choosing the lesser of two evils"!

If something is in the permissive will of God, that does not mean that God did it. God is not going to put anti-Christ, for example, in power but God is going to allow it. In 2012, there were serious reasons to reject the cult of Mormonism--after all Harry Reid already had a chokehold on the Democrats and still does. Of course, Obama also is demonic.

At a minimum you vote a write in - even if it is yourself.
(and please do not write in Mickey Mouse or some other fictional character )
By not voting - you have no voice.
