The Shepherd is Lost and the Sheep Find Him.

If you know that sentence is not correct, why do you act as if it were?

Forrest Gump gave the best answer. "Have you found the Lord?" "I didn't know I was supposed to be looking for him." :D

If the sheep go looking for the shepherd who is lost unfortunately it is not the sheep that will find the lost shepherd but the wolves that will find the lost sheep... Sometime the wolf is dressed in sheep's' clothing and fool lost sheep but never the true shepherd... That's why the sheep are lost and the true shepherd is not... Brother Glen

I didn't find Christ; Christ found me. How do I know that? I know that because I wasn't even looking for Him.

I didn't even open the door when He knocked. I ran and hid like someone hides from a debt collector; however, thankful He had a Master key, and He let Himself in. . .

Sheep/Shepherd... one analogy of our relationship with God

    Another analogy, Created for Fellowship...

Acts 17:27 (NIV) God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.

One doesn't negate the other. God is still there ,,. setting the boundaries.

Acts 17:26b (NIV) ... and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.

Yes. God violated my "free will". It was quite something, and I'll never get over it.

Our Sunday School kids know better than the "force me" people.

God does not compel us to go, oh, no!
He never compels us to go.
God does not compel us to go against our will,
But He just makes us willing to go.

    :)
