Immorality

    If the pastor was caught in immorality would the deacons go to him

    Depends on the character of the deacons.

    Another thought: Why should the pastor wait for them to approach?

    No! That is the responsibility of the other elders in the church.

    Caught by whom? There are so many variables it is difficult to answer even in a hypothetical question.

    My former church had a deacon board but not elders. We had a senior pastor and an associate pastor. One of the deacons caught the pastor in an affair, red handed. He called all the other deacons and they all met at the church. It was a Saturday evening. They confronted the pastor with their evidence, he admitted, and they fired him on the spot. The church members were notified Sunday morning at service time.

    It would be whatever ruling board for that church that would let him go.
