It's 82 degrees here in the east today! A good day to tidy up the garden.

I dug a 50 foot trench yesterday and today and half-filled it with composted manure, bone meal and peat.
I'll be putting in a new asparagus patch - my ~20 year old one is still producing but is being over shaded by a large oak tree I mistakenly let grow near it.

What do you plan on growing this year?

    Right now I'm growing henbit.

I hope to plant a flower garden for the first time in two years: impatiens, periwinkles, maybe some gaillardia. I might try tomatoes, but vegetables and I have an uneasy relationship.

30 acres of corn, 20 acres of sorghum and 15 in clover. Haying the rest. No Amish were injured in the capturing of this scene

Snow is finally gone. Noticed that some garlic that I ignored last year has already broken through. We will see what they produced in a few months.
