I live in Southern California, and it seems that at least two days a week, our news programs give way to epic car chases. Is this a pattern where yo folks live? And, are you, like me, getting tired of the network news giving prime time hours over to thugs who are wanting their ten minutes of fame and glory?

What should be done to end these dangerous chases? To be honest, when one comes on, I envision tons of viewers grabbing a bowl of popcorn, a soda or beer, and sitting back to enjoy a free, reality television crime show.

Have the police chase helicopter drop tire piercing devices in front of the car being chased. Done.
