Look, I'm not a Trump fan ... but didn't you think about Lincoln's resume before you considered re-printing this?

Nothing alike. Lincoln has served in Congress. Was only married once. Had a law firm in Illinois, was not born with a golden spoon in his mouth, was educated .... mostly by his own studies, was not know for cheating others, not known as a chronic liar, etc., etc., etc.

Compared to Trump Lincoln was a roaring success before becoming president.

Troy, why ain't the Hyatt and the Trump Towers in there? And were the New Jersey Generals (meaning Herschel Walker) a success? And what would you include in the benghazi broad's resume?

Oh, please. Lincoln ran and was defeated for a seat i 1832; he ran again and won the seat in 1834.

See, there's the thing: if we're gonna be honest, then you need to put up both the failures AND the accomplishments. For example, http://www.abrahamlincolnonline.org/lincoln/education/failures.htm

If you can't find ANY Trump accomplishments, then prove it. Otherwise, you're just shoveling dirt. And that's the kind of politicking that has made Trump famous, and a favorite with republican voters.

Take the high road, CTB. Be honest. Be fair. Be balanced.

I said he had served in Congress. Sure he lost in 1832, but won and served in 1934. How much experience does Trump have in government?

He was married once. How often and successful has Trump been in marriage?

Lincoln was known as Honest Abe. Has anyone called Trump honest?

Lincoln fought for the common man. Who does Trump favor?

Lincoln showed he had the ability to learn as he governed. Where has Trump shown being able to learn on the job?

Lincoln was willing to take blame. Where has Trump ever shown an ability to take blame?

Lincoln lost elections, which harmed few except him and his family. Then he picked himself up, persevered, and made history (in a good way.) Trump's failures have left him with most of the money and thousands of others holding the bag, that "bag" often being unemployment.

Not the point. In case you've missed it, I'm not a Trumpie, and I won't be voting for him.

The point is CTB's posting of a negative article, rather than also identify any of Trump's accomplishments.

Wasn't the term for such reporting "yellow journalism"?

If CTB wants to be seen as morally "more correct," then he should try showing both pros and cons, and letting the scales make the argument for him.
