This election cycle has seemed to generate more bad blood between people on this site than anything that I have seen since I started here in 2010. Including the Cal/No-Cal war.

Am I the only one who thinks this?

Maybe, but I wasn't around for the last election, so I don't know what the baseline for election fervor is. If it hasn't died down my next spring, though...

Funny, whether politics or theology, we always seem to be divided over election.

The BB simply reflects the dissatisfaction the whole country feels toward our present politics and election. Our country is dividing itself. Our political parties have both been exposed as not being responsive to the will of the people.

It was just recently discovered that the DNC sabotaged Senator Sanders' campaign just as the GOP leadership tried to sabotage Trump's campaign.

The grass roots of both parties have run out of patience with both party's national leadership.

You may not be the only one but it is wrong. It has always been this way. There are ebbs and lows but it has always been like this. Even in other forums on this board as well. The only difference lately is the constant drum beat of calling board members racists ie, "racist" "bigot" or many other backhanded phrases. This did not begin, on this board, until the second term of Obama.

Agree with this bit. Seems like 90% of it originates with two particular individuals.

I'm surprised it only took four posts for someone to blame it on Obama. :Laugh

I will say this about the GOP establishment is they have managed quite the coup to turn all the anger directed at them and turn it back toward the grassroots Conservatives. If the Trump convention showed anything is that Trump and the Establishment are very much in bed with each other. Of course I have always maintained that Trump was their 3rd choice and they were going to do anything possible to prevent Freedom loving Cruz from being the nominee.

So does that justify the vitriol? If it does, perhaps I should begin to refer to Trump's supporters as (insert favorite insult here).

I am not sure what or who you are reading and attributing it to me, but I never justified anything.

In fact your original post said:
I agreed with you and opined that the BB simply reflects our nation's disenchantment with the political spectrum.

So how, exactly, did you construe my agreeing with you to be a justification of the vitriol both here and at large.

And how, exactly, can you justify such a charge right after I banned a user for constantly posting such vitriol?

I construed nothing. I wanted to know if you thought that it justified the behavior of some (not necessarily you) on this site. That is all.

We seem to be posting around each other.

Honestly I read your post the same way he did but I see your point.
