    It has been an ongoing curiosity of mine to organize lists of scholars listed in academically oriented books.

    There is a publication, Arts and Humanities Citation Index," that may save you a lot of time and effort. You will probably have to go to a local university library to use this publication. I understand it is now online, but requires a subscription to view.
