No man of God disagrees with the Great Commission.

    Teach them the Gospel
Baptize them into a Bible believing local Church
Instruct them to go and do the same

Abandoning a new born baby is vile sinful child abuse.

Abandoning a newly born again Christian is an ever greater sin.

Doing so makes one a spiritual abortionist.

Tracts do not equal witnessing. They can be a tool, but to treat them as the end all of witnessing is a true failure to obey the great commission.

My post has nothing to do with whether tracks are good or bad - the point being is that a person who shows interest is better off talking face to face with a pastor or other leader in a local church..
and i have no ideal what you are talking about an evangelist being trapped.

Kirk and Ray had something to say about follow up. I do not follow up. If they want to know more they will seek.

Pastors, teachers, evangelists.....these are given to the church (Ephesians 4:11). This is not opinion, it is Scripture (2 Timothy 3:16-17). An evangelist not working as a part of a local church, in submission to others who test his teaching and ordain his work, is a heretic engaged in his own ministry and not the ministry of God (Hebrews 13; 1 Thessalonians 5; 1 Corinthians 12). The Great Commission is given to the Church -to make disciples, not to individuals because discipleship is a community endeavor (Matthew 28). An evangelist apart from a church has no biblical authority.

The problem here is you take Scripture to be opinion that you can take or leave as you seem fit. I suspect this is why your ministry bears little to no discernible fruit. It is your ministry and not God's.

I didn't offer you an interpretation. I told you what Scripture states. There is a difference.

Apparently you did not comprehend the book Tell the Truth which you claimed to have read. He said in that book multiple times that fruit is all of God and that we must be simply be obedient to preaching the gospel and planting seeds. Conversions is all of God which he said multiple times in the book.

I wouldn't trust everyone here, but I would trust quite a few (even a number that I regularly clash with) to assist with follow-up for a person beginning discipleship with Jesus.

It seems "evangelism" and "open air preaching" is all about you and not the lost.

I give more weight to Scripture. If your ministry is not a part of a local church, if you are not working as a member of such a body, then you are not engaged in a biblical ministry. You are simply doing your own thing with no oversight, no discipleship, and no biblical authority. God does not bless disobedience.

Wrong. It’s all for the lost and all for God primarily.

I never said you were not. I said that evangelism falls under the authority of a local church or it is not evangelism.

If you are not functioning within the authority, oversight, and mission of a local church to disciple others then you are not an evangelist. Period.

You must be a delightful member of the congregation! What is called "friendship evangelism" is one of many styles of biblical evangelism. I practice friendship evangelism along with other methods. Friendship evangelism, when used with direct engagement, is an extremely powerful method for helping someone who does not know God experience the reality of the Father, Son and Spirit. However, for that to be as effective as it should be, you have to be someone who walks with God.

Are you a apprentice of Jesus Christ or do you simply follow the so-called WOTM?
