    What exactly did Russia do?
    U.S. intelligence agencies concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin personally ordered a campaign to undermine "public faith in the U.S. democratic process" and the candidacy of Trump’s opponent, Hillary Clinton, and that along the way, Putin and his government "developed a clear preference" for Trump. Russia’s efforts included hacking and leaking emails that undermined Clinton’s campaign, and using phony accounts and advertising on Facebook and Twitter to sway American public opinion.

    There was no clear preference for Trump. No evidence whatsoever. Further, we do the exact same thing to other countries to include most recently Israel under the Obama admin.

    The Russians were playing both sides. Their idea was to cause chaos during the election process and they achieved what they wanted. If anything, they would have wanted Hillary to win as she was their ally and much easier to manipulate just by dangling money before her. Putin saw Obama as a weak President who would do nothing substantive against any of their provocations worldwide. President Trump however has already shown he is a much different animal.

    Exactly what they have been doing since the end of WWII - And exactly what we have been doing to them

    SPYING ON ONE ANOTHER!!

    Why has it become so important now?

    Because the DNC is in desperation to explain why Hillary is not our president when they told us pre-election that she had a 93% chance of winning.

    It's become important now because there's a question whether Russia played a role in determining who our next president would be based on their own self-interest. Voting in free elections is at the heart o9f a Democracy. I'm not aware that they could or did do that previously.

    No, its become important now because the Clinton machine needs some kind of reason to explain the defeat of Hillary Clinton (was predicted 93% chance of win)..

    Why they need that is to present a reasonable explanation to the public as to the loss so that they don't crash and burn and lose their control of the left liberal wing of voting America.

    The two-way 70 year old espionage and meddling saga between America and Russia was a convenient carrier wave on which to hook the loss of the election.

    I just think preserving the major institutions of our country under the Constitution is more important than continuing a political fight. The country will go down with people emphasizing political victory at all costs. The Republicans have been doing that for a long time.

    True, both major political entities are corrupted.Vote them out.

    Time to drain the establishment swamp.

    Term limits is a good start.

    I agree about term limits. That process seems to be starting naturally.

    I hope so. A really competitive new party hasn't been initiated in a long time. I would guess the last significant one was the Progressive (Bull Moose) Party started by Teddy Roosevelt in the early 1900's.
