The Bible does eliminate the possibility. That's the issue. The gospel concerns this life, not the next (although it leads to the next) - it's not a "ticket to heaven" or "get out of Hell free card". It is repentance (a turning from) the flesh (from ourselves) and belief in Christ. It is the Kingdom has come (here on earth) and those who believe in His name (again, necessitating this life) will have eternal life. This is impossible once one has physically died.

There is a reason the Logos became flesh. There is a reason high priests were chosen from among men. There is a reason Christ had to be tempted in all points as we are. When we start giving the false (and unbiblical) hope of "another chance" after death then we are offering another gospel (a different repentance with a different hope).

There are various views on this topic that are Christian. Universal salvation is not one of them. I truly wish it were, as there are friends I've lost who will never again have the chance to hear and respond to the gospel I failed to tell them. But universal salvation is simply a false doctrine, foreign to the Christian faith.

I agree, and shouldn't have worded it as such.

My point is that it is neither Christian nor biblical to teach that men and women may possibly have a chance of salvation after this life. The gospel is for this life. Repentance and belief is for this life. Believing in the name of Christ pertains to the obedience in the flesh through the spirit. None of this is possible after we die, period. To believe otherwise is to believe in a doctrine that is distinctly unchristian.

Please understand that I am not demeaning what you are teaching. I am only observing that it is not Christian doctrine. In truth, universal salvation - as wrong as it is - has more merit as all are saved (some just go through more refining than others).

Are you teaching a second chance? or that God will allow in those who have other faiths?

I'm saying there's a period of time after death before the resurrection and judgment, that a soul still has Consciousness and the ability to repent. I'm saying there's a possibility that God will pardon them, because they did not realize what they were doing

Do you have scripture that supports this idea?

Scripture says all things are possible with God. Scripture says the gospel was preached to the dead. God can evangelize the dead

The problem is that there are NO scriptures that would indicate anything other than the fact that we must receive Jesus while alive here on earth in order to be saved!

Are you referring to when peter states that Jesus preached to those who were now in Hades?

Can you show me the Scripture that shows that God preached to the dead in expectation of a response for salvation?

And yes, all things are possible with God - except He can't act against His character. You forget that.
