    Icon... Yeah my 2nd wife Pam went through Breast Cancer, three years ago, she's a survivor... Lost my 1st to Kinney Cancer 16 years ago... Although Pam went through the whole package and has been a believer all her life. her and I both, her experience lit a fire under her that has not been put out.

    She is in charge of the Cancer Care and Compassion Ministry at our church... Her and her ladies make blankets free of charge for those ladies who have to go through cancer, no matter what kind, and send it to them free... They have also given blankets to men and hats to children and I believe this calculation is higher but I know she made and given 118 flannel hats, to kids with cancer... And even to adults who want one... She makes cancer bags, with all sorts of odds and ends for those going or have gone through it... Our front room looks like a fabric store... But this is her mission and she and her group are on fire!!!

    Ask Steve she sent his wife one, in the pattern she wanted (horses)... What do I do?... I'm the support and drive group... I drive her to the fabric store, so she can restock... Btw if you brethren have not heard there is an organization called Relay For Life for Cancer Survivors... If you have not been... GOOOOOOOOO!!!... Well worth it!!!... You brethren caregivers if you need to talk I'm here!!!... If you need help, we both are... We have all sorts of resources, just ask... Glen and Pam:)

    Yes....the hats, the hair....my children have all donated hair for others...same kind of experience for my wife and I...

    That's good to know and have you attended Relay For Life where you live?... Its a big thing here... Coming up again in August... Hair?... You and I have the same problem and my wife's hair in full, never came back... She wears hats and is known in church as the hat lady... There is a law-suit pending for women who were told this chemo drug would not affect their hair... The drug company lied and they knew it would... Glad to see there are others in the fight... Brother Glen:)

    You two aren’t the only ones that are follicle challenged :D. Wonder if we could get a Christian Hair Club for men started:Laugh

    Glen already knows this from our sharing notes, my wife didn’t loose her hair but the chemo took her hearing in one ear... nasty stuff that chemo, besides the nausea, feeling tired, etc

    And Glen & Pam gifted us the most beautiful blanket with horses on it. My wife (Also named Pam) was quite the equestrian in her day. That blanket was put to good use in the treatment rooms:Thumbsup

    Wow, I am too excited to sleep....not to long ago I was told very bad news but today it is good news...a chance to start again. I want to thank all for your prayers and support... the Lord has richly provided... Thank You Lord.

    More good news.... the Surgeon just called. They sent the tumor over to pathology and there is no evidence of cancer! My wife is now crying in the bathroom... tears of joy and relief. Her last comment before going back in to the bathroom right now, “Praise God from whom all blessing flow.” WOW just WOW!

    Thank you sister...I sincerely appreciate the prayers and the good wishes. My wife wants us to leave the area of our births but I don’t know ... I will have to let the lord and my better angels advise me. Well whatever happens it’s good to know there are people who wish us well. Thanks

    Thank you... that was beautiful and Texas would not work.... my 28 yo son and fiancée are in Florida so momma will want to be with them and any grandchildren. Plus there in Florida there is a really great Primitive Baptist church I really like otherwise I would consider Texas/ Mexico.

    Grew up in Florida. No desire to ever return.

    Mountains of Georgia and South Carolina perhaps, but not Florida.
