There is a new, very well thought out M.A. in Bible Translation being kicked off: Home.

I know somewhat of how this degree was conceived and brought into existence (the dean humbly consulted many for counsel), and I think it to be an excellent degree. The profs are not yet listed, but I know the three men on the main page, and they are all heavy hitters in the world of fundamental Baptist Bible translation, and all good, godly men.

This degree is somewhat different from the M.A. in Bible translation we offer at our seminary. The main difference would be that our degree is closer to a normal M.A. in Bible in that we require systematic theology, OT and NT introduction courses, etc. With the FirstBible degree, the assumption is made that the student will already have had a good education in these areas (except in Sys. Theo.). For this, see their entrance requirements at: Admissions Requirements. We prefer that they take these courses under our tutelage so that they get our unique revival teaching.

The problem with that M.A., John, is several may end up having to revise their theological position....to quote The Matrix, "ignorance is bliss" :Laugh

(On a more serious note, I'm glad to see the program offered).

    Har de har har. ;)

But of course one should look elsewhere for such a degree if they don't see eye to eye theologically with the good folks at FirstBible.

Moody used to have a program, but I don't know if they still do. There is always SIL, where one of our profs will walk with the MA in Aug., but that is almost totally a linguistics degree.

Then there is our own MA here where I teach. Ta-dah!
