Today is the 6th Day in the creation of the perfect Heaven. That's because the events of Genesis 1:28-31 has NEVER happened in the past. At no time has Adam/mankind had dominion or rule over mosquitoes, viruses or Angels, as Genesis 1:28 states. This is because these events are FUTURE to 2019.

At no time in the past have ALL creatures been Vegetarians as Genesis 1:30 states. The Lion will eat straw like the Ox AFTER Jesus returns at the Rapture. Isaiah 11:7

The perfect God would NEVER proclaim that it is very good until it is made perfect. This means that God's rest is FUTURE to 2019 because God rests or ceases from ALL of His work of creating at the end of the present 6th Day/Age in the creation of the perfect Heaven. God has but 7 Days/Ages and He continues to create mankind in His Image or in Christ Today, on this Day of Salvation.

2Co 6:2 (For He saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) Amen?

Then tell us WHEN God rested from ALL of His creating in the PAST. You cannot.

    Hebrews 4
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Is God still creating new creatures in Christ? Of course He is which shows that He has NOT yet rested from ALL of His work of creating as Genesis 2:2-3 repeats. Amen?

No just because it (new birth) comes into the time continuum does not mean it happened at that point in time.
Jesus already existed on His earthly conception and then earthly birth from eternity

Our new birth/salvation happened from the foundation of the world.

Scripture does. Genesis 5:1-2 show that Adam AND Eve were the first Humans to be "created" by God the Trinity.

Genesis 2:4-9 shows that Adam was made from the dust of the ground on the 3rd Day before plants, herbs, rain and Trees. All plants and trees GREW on the 3rd Day. Genesis 1:12

Eve was NOT made from Adam's rib until the present 6th Day, the Day of Salvation. Genesis 2:22 Both A&E were "created" in God's Image at the SAME time. Genesis 1:27 Genesis 5:1-2

To be "created" in God's Image is to be born again Spiritually, in Christ. Amen?

Ben in my view the "new birth" is spoken of as the "circumcision of the heart" in the OT.
I don't assign the new birth to the fact that we are created in both the image and likeness of God.

There is a difference between creating and giving birth.

Again Ben, there is a difference between the actual reality of "time" for God and for us who travel along down the time continuum AFTER ALL IS SAID AND DONE in God's reality it is confusing for us and difficult to put things in perspective.

As davidtaylorjr has said, you ARE way off base here. I will explain to you why.

Genesis 1 clearly states that Adam and Eve were formed on the 6th day. Genesis 1 also clearly states that plants were created - plants of EVERY kind in full bloom an fruition - on the 3rd day. And the trees all bore fruit. And grasses were in abundance.

You cannot dispute what Genesis 1 says about that. It's impossible.

Genesis chapter 2 is a re-telling of day six. More detail, more about Adam and Eve with specific detail.

Verses 4-7 says that God created man BEFORE there were plants OF THE FIELD and herbs OF THE FIELD. Why? What are these? Plants that have to be tilled, cultivated, and farmed by man. Plants that sometimes come with weeds, thorns, briars, and such. The Bible says God had not made those because there was no man to "work" the ground. Cultivated plants are what these plants are NOT the plants God made in Genesis 1.

    PROOF of that?

After Adam fell, God told him that he would have to work to eat. All the beautiful fruits of the trees would not come free to him anymore. Specifically, God said...
    • the ground was now cursed with thistles and thorny plants
    • a big part of what he would eat now would be plants OF THE FIELD that he would have to raise himself - with difficulty
Genesis 1 and 2 are describing two different kinds of plants.

    Nope. I cannot "Amen" that.

Depends on your definition of God's Image and God's likeness. God is an invisible Spirit. Making man in His Image is creating man Spiritually and Eternally. God's likeness is complete in the only God ever formed physically or that ever will be formed. His name is Jesus Christ and He is the Light of the 1st Day. Genesis 1:3.
Col 2:9 For in Him dwelleth ALL the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Jesus is God in physical form.

That's why I'm here. I have discovered a mystery hidden in Genesis which allows people to finally understand what God told us in Genesis. It's really simple and easily understood and it solves many of the mysteries hidden in the rest of the Bible. Here it is:

God told us of the creation of His perfect Heaven, totally and completely, in the first 34 verses of Genesis. It's an outline of ALL of the creation, including events which are yet to happen at the end of the present 6th Day. Genesis 1:28-31 is prophecy of events which happen after Jesus comes at the Rapture.. From Genesis 2:4 until the end of Revelation 22, Scripture refers BACK to the events of the 7 Days/Ages of God's creation and ADDS DETAILS to each of those 7 Days/Ages. Amen?

You have discovered nothing. What you are professing is unbiblical and no basis in truth.

@BenWest if you think you have found a new truth in Scripture that nobody has found in 2,000 years of church history you might want to go back to the drawing board.

Then it should be easy for you to refute me Scripturally.

Gen 2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

The Lord made Adam's Earth and other HeavenS plural on the SAME Day, the 3rd Day. Adam's Heaven was made the SECOND Day. Genesis 1:8

Gen 2:5 And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.Gen 2:6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

Plants and trees GREW on the 3rd Day.

Gen 1:12 And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after His kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after His kind: and God saw that it was good.

On the 3rd Day, the same Day the first Earth was made, but BEFORE plants, herbs and rain......

    Gen 2:7
¶ And the LORD God formed man (Hebrew-Adam) of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

AND before the Trees grew the Lord made Adam. To confirm this read the next verses:.

Gen 2:8 ¶And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there He put the man whom He had formed. Gen 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Do you still think I'm "off base"? God bless you

Really? Can you tell us HOW many firmaments/Heavens were made by the 3rd Day?

Yes you are still off base because you are taking verses out of context.

Genesis 1 is a unit and you separate it. Genesis 1:26-31 clearly shows man was made on the sixth day, not the third.

Genesis 2 is not a full account of creation. It is a more specific account of the creation of man and does not supercede chapter 1 that tells us man was created on day 6 not day 3.

Are you insane? Genesis 1 defies everything you have posted in this thread. It says man was CREATED ON DAY SIX. So if you are saying that is wrong you are saying Scripture contradicts itself. If that is the case we might as well throw it all out.
