SWBTS President Adam W. Greenway on Twitter

This afternoon [our] faculty unanimously adopted the following resolution....As president, I want to publicly affirm [Drs. Teri Stovall and Katie McCoy], and denounce in the strongest terms any attacks on their qualifications for service here.

"the faculty of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary express its great appreciation for Dr. Terri Stovall and Dr. Katie McCoy for...their Christ-like leadership within the seminary community."

"It's A New Day", Southwestern's slogan under new seminary president Adam Greenway

"'It’s a new day at Southwestern,' said Philip Levant, chairman of the board of trustees at The Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, at the conclusion of their fall meeting, Oct. 23. Trustees began the week participating in the inauguration of Adam W. Greenway, elected the school’s ninth president earlier this year."

"this president is deeply committed to doing everything we can...to continue to build and to strengthen the strongest possible faculty of God-called men and women across every discipline"

When the sun shines—on the mountain ♫
And the night is—on the run ♫
    It's a New Day—it's a new way ♫
And I climb up to the sun ♫

I can feel the morning sunlight ♫
    I can smell the new-mown hay ♫
    I can hear God's voice's calling ♫
For a golden skylight way ♫

    Una paloma blanca-a-ᵃ ♫
I'm like a bird in the sky ♫
    Una paloma blanca-a-ᵃ ♫
Over the mountains I fly ♫
No one can take my freedom away ♫

Katie McCoy graduate research focused on "Old Testament laws about women's personhood and what they teach us about women's dignity and social justice." "Social Justice" is a Leftist excuse to discriminate. This year she posted about, "Longing for Change: Our Culture After #MeToo", which wouldn't be bad if it were just about fighting sexual assault, but the #MeToo movement is another Leftist weapons against our freedom.

One common defect of women leaders is playing the oppressed female while enjoying tremendous sexual preferences. Why would they play the oppressed female? Because their leadership position is inherently uncomfortable and difficult for them.

Any young men, and women, taking her classes will be subject to indoctrination that men are evil. One poster here claims the high divorce rate is because men beat their wives to a pulp and murder them (how a murdered woman files for divorce, he didn't explain). Misandrists who can't be bothered with reality....

Somehow this is supposed to be a good thing? Paige Patterson was correct in not allowing women to teach/exercise authority over male students in the fields of theology or biblical exegesis and exposition.

It's further evidence the SBC has gone to Hell in a hand basket.

It's interesting that for most men the most formative years of their lives were when their mothers taught them. Mother's guided them and pointed them toward Christ.

2 Timothy 1:5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.

Yet, somewhere along the way some men grow hate for women studying God's word and teaching others. I don't see that hate in scripture. I don't see the Apostles being so rigid and mean spirited.
A President of a University, whether male or female, still answers to the board of trustees. He/She is not a dictator.
The question to ask is if that person has the gifts and skills to manage a University and the many schools, departments and programs that University entails.
The next question is to ask if God has placed a restriction on women in management positions. Is there biblical support to deny women the pursuit of such a job?
Finally, did God gift this woman with the skills necessary for the task ahead? Does God raise up more "Deborah's"?

Disclaimer: I understand there will be men here who will loathe my questions and attack me rather than address scripture on the matter. I won't address you if you cannot attend to God's word or speak gracefully. If hate is stronger than love in your words, I will let you spew it in silence. I have no time for hate.
