We have been dutifully involved with out 7th day adherents in another thread, so let's see where this one goes.

Now, our good friends religiously (no pun intended) keep to the 7th day of worship because they say it is part of God's law that is still in effect, but I have another law of His (God's) that I would like to hear how our friends (specifically 3rdAngel) see it. I am talking about circumcision, which is right up there next to the other old law of 7th day Sabbath keeping. Every Jewish male must be circumcised shortly after birth which is the unchangeable command from God for those who seek to be in His good graces.

So I have the following 2 questions for our friends.

    1. Do you 7th Dayers believe that this mandate is still in effect for those who seek to properly worship Jehovah God, and that in order to be acceptable to Him (God) one must be circumcised?

    2. If you do believe that circumcision is now not required for the believer, then what do you base that belief on and who and how was this most basic law for the believer in God done away with?

    Thank you in advance.

You are confused dear brother by mixing up the "SHADOW LAWS IN ORDINANCES" from the MOSIAC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 with God's 10 Commandments that give us the KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL; SIN AND RIGHTEOUSNESS in the NEW COVENANT *ROMANS 3:20: ROMANS 7:7; 1 JOHN 3:4. According to God's WORD (not mine) if we "KNOWINGLY" break and one of God's 10 commandments we we stand guilty before God of sin *JAMES 2:10-11.

"CIRCUMCISION" is not one of God's 10 Commandments. "CIRCUMCISION" is one of the "SHADOW LAWS" from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 that pointed to a "NEW HEART" by faith in the "NEW COVENANT...

ROMANS 2:28-29 [28], For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: [29], But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Then after the question was answered by the Apostles in ACTS 15:1-2 "Is circumcision a requirement for salvation" which was answered no we have these words from Paul...

1 CORINTHIANS 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.

Circumcision is a SHADOW law from the MOSAIC BOOK of the law *EXODUS 24:7 that pointed to a new heart by faith and is fulfilled in the NEW COVENANT promise to all those who believe and follow GOd's WORD from JEREMIAH 31:31-34; HEBREWS 8:10-12; HEBREWS 10:1-39.

HEBREWS 8:10-12 [10], BUT THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, says the LORD, I WILL PUT MY LAW IN THEIR INWARD PARTS, AND WRITE IT IN THEIR HEARTS; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: [11], And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. [12], For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

In the NEW COVENANT God wants to circumcise our hearts to LOVE him and those who LOVE God keep His Commandments *JOHN 14:15 including God's 4th commandment which is one of God's 10 commandments.

May you receive God's WORD and be blessed.

Circumcision is a law, a vital part of the old law, yet you so callously disregard it and attempt to obfuscate vis a vis the law you hold to by claiming that the 7th day worship law is still in effect for Christians when it is no such thing. Your attempt to post NT scriptures concerning this when you disregard other NT scriptures that sustain Sunday worship is completely disingenuous and it is clear that you have little to no credibility on the issue.

So tell us, just how did these men decide that circumcision was no longer a valid part of the law? Where did they get the authority to do this? What did Jesus say on the issue, wasn't he all in for circumcision? And if so, how could anyone change one of God's written laws?

You did not read what you are quoting from did you brother. Denying God's Word with your words, does not make God's Word disappear. Circumcision was a SHADOW law fulfilled in the NEW Covenent promise *HEBREWS 8:10-12 and is not one of God's 10 commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken *ROMANS 3:20. According to God's WORD in the NEW COVENANT God's 4th Commandment is one of God's 10 Commandments and if we "KNOWINGLY" break anyone of God's 10 Commandments we stand guilty before God of sin *JAMES 2:10-11.

I will post my query again and see if this time you will answer it, especially question #2.

    1. Just how did these men decide that circumcision was no longer a valid part of the laws of God?

    2. Where did they get the authority to do this?

    3. What did Jesus say on the issue, wasn't he all in for circumcision?

No need your just repeating yourself without addressing the post that answers your OP already in post # 2. If you disagree than address all the scriptures that show why you are in error. If you cannot address this post and the scriptures in them why do you not believe God's Word? Something for you to pray about.

May you receive God's Word and be blessed.

Okay, I will answer question #2 for you since you will not answer it here. They, the Apostles, had the power that was given to them by Jesus (God Incarnate) via the bind and loose doctrine. So, if they had the power to end the law of circumcision, it also certainly means that they had the power to make Sunday the day of worship for the Christian. Nobody did away with the 7th day Sabbath law as you asked earlier, that was left in effect for the Jews.

You, did not answer the questions for me. Your questions were already answered through God's WORD alone in post # 2 through the scriptures showing why you are in error.

You answered the post for yourself because you deny God's WORD shared with your own words in the scriptures in the linked post above and neither will you address this post as God's Word only shows why you are in error.

Peter and the Apostles practiced and taught everyone of God's 10 Commandments and taught others to do the same by faith that works by Love as a part of the NEW COVENANT promise to love *HEBREWS 8:10-12; ROMANS 13:8-10; JAMES 2:8-12 even after the death, buriel and resurrection of JESUS *ACTS 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4; REVELATION 1:10.

According to JESUS the SABBATH was made for all mankind *MARK 2:27 and he is the creator and Lord of it *MARK 2:28. When the Sabbath was made for all mankind there was NO sin, NO MOSES, NO JEW and NO Israel *GENESIS 2:1-3.

There is not one scripture from JESUS or the Apostles saying that God's 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a Holy day. This is a teaching and tradition of men that breaks the commandments of God that JESUS warns us about *MATTHEW 15:3-9; MARK 7:5-13.

These are God's WORD not my words but you deny God's Word neither do you believe them with your words that are not Gods' Word. If I have only shared God's Word with you why do you not believe them?
