    I used to spend a lot of time in Chihuahua and I did not know that Orange Blossom Special was played by Mariachi bands. I have a lot of Mariachi CDs (an old-fashioned way of playing music at home.) However, I could not make the link work.

    I like mariachi music. Further, this band reminds me of the pipe bands of the Royal Regiment of Scotland.

    I think the Mexican SecNav came up with a cost-effective way to represent his organization. I've seen YouTube videos of the group on foreign tours. It was a lot cheaper to send Mariachis to London than a full military band.

    A little. But as a Californio, mariachi is one of my background musics. The others being Texas Swing, Bagpipe bands, Salvation Army Band, and French Foreign Legion.

    Mariachi is worldwide. I like Salvation Army bands, also. Will have to look into the Foreign Legion.
