Eid al-Adha is an annual Muslim holiday that is celebrated this year on July 30-31. Muslims sometimes refer to this day as Qurbani, which means "sacrifice".

Every year during Eid al-Adha, Muslims around the world slaughter an animal – a goat, sheep, cow, camel, or even possibly a water buffalo like the photo below – to reflect the Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son "Ismail", for the sake of God.

Leading up to this holiday and during this 24-hour period, Muslims are concentrated on their efforts to atone for their sins. This is time when they are sensitive to their need of salvation. This is a pivotal time to pray for Muslims.

They see their need for a blood atonement for their sin - yet don't see the connection that Christ alone has provided the once for all perfect blood atonement of Himself. Pray that God will open blind eyes.

Does seem to be a much more open field to the Muslims right now, as there are many former Muslims such as Al fadi and Christian prince taking the spiritual fight right to them on their web sites and YouTube channels, as well as dr jay Smith on his YouTube channel attacking Koran head on!
