“Of course, there are those who see the current crisis as an opportunity for radical change to American institutions. They insist that “there are no libertarians in a pandemic” and that there shouldn’t be.

We beg to differ. While a once‐in‐a‐century pandemic presents challenges for any political philosophy, the botched response to COVID-19 hardly represents an indictment of the American heritage of limited government. From the massive regulatory failures that stifled test provision to archaic restrictions that kept caregivers from patients, government overreach has compounded this disaster. Where they were left free to do so, the institutions of civil society have met the COVID-19 challenge with resilience, adaptability, and old‐fashioned American ingenuity.“

Necessity is the mother of all invention.

Although I’m no libertarian, I find myself agreeing with nearly everything stated.

    Peace to you

The response to Covid 19, or Chinese Virus, was not botched. The globalists led by Nixon had hoped that business and money will make the Chinese mellow. It did not. It made that even more terrible because now they had money to buy more weapons and build up their military. Federal law allows Governors some leeway and a handful of Governors showed themselves incompetent. Hong Kong Flu was somewhat like this pandemic in the USA but it was just allowed to run its course. Many think that this corona virus was a biological weapon released from the Wuhan Institute of Virology under the research supervision of the mad scientist Shi Zhengli.

It turned out that big cities worldwide were not good places to be because of cramped quarters. The level of hygiene in American society is too low. Medicaid and Medicare left the elderly poor in institutions unprepared for a highly infectious disease. Also, America became so unthinking and so unprepared that emergency medical supplies for not even manufactured in the USA anymore and the communists commanding our supply chain immediately attacked by cutting off our medical supplies. Things like isopropyl alcohol and N95 masks are still generally unavailable. Thermometers are twice as expensive as normal, as millions of people did not even have a thermometer at home.

The prolonged lockdown and the deliberate destruction of the American economy were serious errors. All of the maladies of unemployment are showing up worldwide--they are suicide, drug abuse, depression, and domestic abuse among other things.

    The lockdown is criminal.

On the issue of testing, we have tested more people than any other country in the world. I think second place goes to India. 90 % of the deaths were people who had already outlived the normal lifespan and who were in ill health anyway. They were over 80 and half were in nursing homes. Less than 10,000 deaths were attributed to people with no other disease.

America needs to be prepared for biological warfare in the future.

I dint have a big problem with the lockdown for the first 30-90 days. We really dint know what to expect.
After that - in many States/Commonwealths - it was taking too long to return to normal. (I despise the term "new normal")

And here in NY State - everything was be dilated by Gov Cuomno.

In addition several things just didnt sound right
ie - Liqour stores could be open - but Churches could not -- ect, ect

People are sick of these non-medical masks.
